DNVN - According to experts, digitizing genealogy is not only a solution to preserve family values ​​but also contributes to connecting the younger generation with their roots, in the context that they increasingly tend to access information through technology platforms.

On March 11, in My Khe (Da Nang), a ceremony was held to celebrate the 160th anniversary of the birth of Academician Truong Quang Phung (1865-1935), combined with a discussion on the Truong family genealogy - a work recording the more than 300-year history of the Truong family in My Khe, Quang Ngai.

The Truong Family Genealogy is a historical document recording the more than 300-year history of the Truong family - My Khe (1623-1926), since the ancestor Truong Dang Nhat and his son Truong Dang Truong settled in My Khe, Quang Ngai. This book is not only valuable to the Truong family but also provides a lot of information about the land, people and customs of Quang Ngai. Academician Truong Quang Phung is the one who wrote the Truong Family Genealogy.

The "Hung Gia Initiative" group, represented by Dr. Pham Duc Ky, is currently implementing the digitization of genealogy on a mobile platform. This model has been pioneered by many large families, bringing positive results in preserving and promoting genealogical values.

Presenting a paper on the trend of digital genealogy transformation, Dr. Pham Duc Ky - Lecturer at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Van Hien University, Vice President of the Pham Family Council of Ho Chi Minh City emphasized that digital genealogy transformation is an inevitable trend in the digital age. Digital genealogy transformation not only helps to store information effectively but also facilitates the search and connection between generations in the family.

At the seminar, experts and delegates shared the view that genealogical digitization is not only a solution to preserve family values ​​but also contributes to connecting the younger generation with their roots, in the context that they increasingly tend to access information through technology platforms.
