Gasoline price today April 3: Gasoline price increases across the board

The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade have just decided to adjust retail gasoline prices, accordingly from 3:00 p.m. on April 3, all types of gasoline will increase.

Specifically:

- E5 RON92 gasoline price increased by 341 VND, retail price is 20,373 VND/liter, 546 VND/liter lower than RON95-III gasoline;

- RON95-III gasoline increased by 495 VND/liter, retail price is 20,919 VND/liter;

- Diesel oil 0.05S increased by 261 VND, retail price 18,478 VND/liter;

- Kerosene increased by 211 VND, retail price is 18,735 VND/liter;

- Mazut oil 180CST 3.5S increased by 124 VND/liter, retail price is 17,026 VND/kg.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the world petroleum market in this management period (from March 27, 2025 to April 2, 2025) is affected by major factors such as: US crude oil inventories increase, the US announces a basic tax rate of 10% on all imported goods and higher for goods of many major trading partners, the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues...

The above factors have mainly caused the world oil and gas prices to fluctuate upward in recent days. The average price of finished oil and gas products in the world between the price adjustment period on March 27, 2025 and the adjustment period on April 3, 2025 is: 83.123 USD/barrel of RON92 gasoline used to blend E5RON92 gasoline (up 2.107 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 2.60%); 84.865 USD/barrel of RON95 gasoline (up 2.557 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 3.11%); 87.460 USD/barrel of kerosene (up 1.156 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.34%); 87.198 USD/barrel of 0.05S diesel oil (up 1.438 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.68%); 463,715 USD/ton of 180CST 3.5S fuel oil (up 4,113 USD/ton, equivalent to an increase of 0.89%).

Early this morning, April 3, world crude oil prices on world crude oil exchanges such as TradingEconomics and Oilprice recorded a sharp decline in crude oil prices.

Specifically, at 6:13 a.m. (Vietnam time) on April 3 on the TradingEconomics floor, WTI oil price was traded at 69.6 USD/barrel, down more than 1.5 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 2.2% compared to yesterday; while Brent oil price was traded at 72.9 USD/barrel, down 1.55 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 2%.

The average crude oil price in March 2025 was recorded to increase by 1.9% compared to the previous month.

Previously, at 3:00 p.m. on March 27, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade jointly decided to adjust retail gasoline prices. Accordingly, gasoline prices simultaneously increased sharply by 300-400 VND/liter.

Specifically: E5 RON92 gasoline and RON 95 III gasoline both increased by 337 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 gasoline is 20,032 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline retails at 20,424 VND/liter. Diesel 0.05S increased by 324 VND/liter, retail price is 18,217 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 406 VND/liter, retail price is 18,524 VND/liter; 180CST 3.5S fuel oil decreased by 53 VND, retail price is 16,902 VND/kg.
