Industrial production value in the first quarter increased by 7.2%

In the first quarter of 2025, the estimated industrial production value (at 2010 comparative prices) increased by 7.2% over the same period in 2024; the industrial production index is estimated to increase by 7%; of which, electricity production and distribution increased by 10%, processing and manufacturing industry increased by 8.2%, mining industry increased by over 6%...

Some major industrial products increased sharply compared to the same period last year, such as: Kaolin reached 21,335 tons (up 68.7%); penicillin-containing drugs and antibiotics in tablet form reached 59 million tablets (up 48%), synthetic rubber and natural rubber production reached 244 tons (up 38%), electricity production reached 163.3 million kWh (up 28%), processed seafood of all kinds reached 7,196 tons (up 27%)...

In order to continue promoting the development of industrial production value in the coming time, the Department of Industry and Trade is actively coordinating with departments, branches and localities to focus on removing difficulties for enterprises; creating favorable conditions for existing industrial production facilities and new projects to go into stable production, exploit equipment capacity and investment efficiency. Especially cement, beer, garment export factories, non-fired brick production, energy pellets, plywood, tempered glass, seafood processing, etc.
