Family cohesion is always a good foundation to facilitate social development - Illustration: Q.DINH
Originating from a popular trend in Thailand, many young Vietnamese people have taken advantage of the opportunity to "trick" their parents into doing this homework so they can hear their secret thoughts.
Do you want to do homework with your children?
The questions for this homework assignment revolve around family life issues. Parents will answer questions like: How do you feel about having a child? If you had one wish for your child, what would it be? How much do you love your child?…
Camouflaged with an invitation for parents to share so that "children can do their homework and final exams". Comes with a promise to keep the respondent's identity confidential so that parents can share freely.
This is also a trick to lower parents' guard level, wanting them to express their most sincere feelings.
From an anonymous survey, each young person has a better understanding of their parents' concerns, so they can sympathize and share more with each other. I hope that each young person can understand, sympathize and love their family and relatives more.
Thuy Linh (20 years old, student)
Many young people said they were overwhelmed when they received their parents’ shares. When shared on social networks, these contents also quickly received positive interactions from the online community, spreading a beautiful message about family affection.
Thuy Linh (20 years old, student in Ho Chi Minh City) took advantage of this method to listen to her parents talk about issues that they have not found a common voice in the family regarding work, marriage, social relationships...
Linh said her parents are strict, so at first she thought they would not agree with some of her differences. But after receiving feedback, she realized that her family always respected and accepted her differences.
"My parents said they would support me in any situation and always put my happiness first. It's just that they were strict because they were worried that I would face social prejudice," Linh said.
The girl said she was really surprised and touched because her parents always accompanied and supported her. And she felt she needed to spend more time with her family when she read her parents' wish to "spend more time with their children".

I want to be your friend
Studying abroad far from home, Ngoc Huyen (19 years old) took advantage of the trend to listen to what her parents had to say. Having been independent since childhood, Huyen rarely shared with her parents because they were also busy with work.
The older Huyen gets, the further away she goes to school, so the farther she feels. She really wants to confide, share, and say loving words to her parents.
When receiving feedback, Huyen said she was very touched when her parents wrote: "Mom and Dad love you and are very proud of you. Thank you for growing up and being a very good child, even though we didn't have much time with you."
Huyền said she cried while reading and re-reading each word her parents sent her. She had never felt her parents' care and love for her so much!
The age gap between Huyen and her parents is large, and they rarely express their thoughts to each other. "Being far away from home, receiving confidences that parents also want to spend more time with their children, I will listen and understand my parents better," Huyen shared.
