Amway Vietnam continues to coordinate with Tien Phong newspaper and Military Hospital 175 to organize the Red Sunday blood donation program at Amway Center Ho Chi Minh City. The event attracted nearly 1,000 Amway employees, distributors and customers to participate, contributing more than 400 units of blood to the blood fund of the hospital and infirmary of Truong Sa Island.
Starting in early 2009, from a blood donation point in Hanoi with 96 units of blood, by 2017, the "Red Sunday" blood donation festival initiated by Tien Phong newspaper with the message "Your life and mine" has truly become a movement, a series of festivals held in 25 provinces/cities across the country and received nearly 32,000 units of blood. As of March 31, 2024, the 16th Red Sunday program - 2024 took place for 5 months (from November 2023 to the end of March 2024) in 37 provinces and cities with 76 blood donation points. The total amount of blood received reached 51,696 units of blood. Exceeding the set target by 6,696 units of blood.

However, the supply of blood to serve wounded soldiers and patients being treated at Truong Sa Island Hospital and Infirmary is always urgent and necessary when facing the harsh weather, difficult travel and living conditions. In order to continue to carry out and complete the task of receiving, providing emergency care and treating wounded soldiers and patients in the coming time, Amway Vietnam cooperated with Tien Phong newspaper and Military Hospital 175 of the Ministry of National Defense to organize the 16th Red Sunday blood donation program, contributing more than 400 units of blood to Truong Sa's blood fund.
Accompanying Red Sunday since 2020, Amway Vietnam has added nearly 1,500 units of blood to the national blood bank and attracted more than 2,000 participants. The program has become a beautiful cultural feature in the community of Amway Distributors, customers and employees.
Lieutenant Colonel, Doctor Vu Son Giang - Deputy Head of Politics of Military Hospital 175 said: " Blood is one of the special elements in the human body, so far science has not been able to find a replacement solution. Life will end for those who unfortunately have an accident or illness and need additional blood transfusion but cannot receive it in time. Therefore, blood storage from the community's donated blood source is considered an extremely important "medicine" to save the sick ".
The program has contributed more than 400 units of blood.
