Dak Lak: Project 939 creates premise for women to develop economy

Regarding the Project's activities in the locality, Ms. Vo Thi Ngoc, Vice President of the Dak Lak Provincial Women's Union, said: Project 939 has aroused the spirit of entrepreneurship, business start-up, creative potential, self-reliance, confidence, creating conditions for women in the province to develop the economy. Thanks to support from the Project, over the years, thousands of female members have successfully realized their startup ideas and become rich. In the period of 2017 - 2025, the Women's Union at all levels coordinated to organize 168 training courses on digital business skills, product branding, product logo development; basic knowledge of business ideas, organization and management plans, business idea presentation skills; supported 4,752 women to borrow capital to start a business and start a business with a total amount of 57 billion VND; Promote connection and product consumption to help women feel secure in production, business, and start-up; establish Dak Lak Women Entrepreneurs Association with more than 100 members.

In supporting women to innovate and develop business and start-ups, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Women's Union has deployed to 15/15 districts, towns, cities and women's business clubs of Dak Lak province. As a result, more than 700 ideas and projects participated in the Startup and Business Start-up Competition organized by the Central Union and the Provincial Women's Union. Of which, 113 ideas/projects entered the final round of the provincial and central competitions; won the first prize nationwide (in 2023) at the Startup Competition organized by the Central Vietnam Women's Union...

Ms. To Thi Tam, President of the Dak Lak Provincial Women's Union, awarded the Special Prize for the project "Producing wine and white wine from cashew fruit pulp" to Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tran, at the 2024 provincial women's startup competition.

The Association at all levels supports the establishment and maintenance of 5 women's business clubs; regularly organizes exchange activities, sharing experiences in business management, operation and connecting products and goods; organizes thematic activities "Women with business and connecting businesses"; supports legal procedures for establishing 4 women's businesses...

In the activities of enhancing international cooperation and mobilizing resources to implement the Plan and Project 939 at the provincial/municipal level, the Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association has promoted its core role in gathering, connecting and supporting the activities of women-owned enterprises. The Women Entrepreneurs Association has organized 4 working sessions, signed cooperation agreements with Associations/Associations and enterprises from Japan, Korea, China and India; bringing women's start-up products to export to international markets.

"In the next phase, Dak Lak Women's Union strives to:

- 100% of specialized Union officials at all levels and officials of departments and branches participating in the Project implementation have raised awareness and methods of supporting women in starting and developing businesses.

- 100% or more of female members are educated and have their awareness about employment and entrepreneurship raised. Support at least 1,000 women in starting and developing businesses. Coordinate and support the establishment of at least 10 cooperatives/cooperative groups managed by women.

- Ensure that newly established female businesses receive advice and support to develop their businesses.

In addition, the Women's Unions of districts in the province have also proactively coordinated with relevant departments to support connections to bring fermented cocoa juice, mulberry, and bird's nest products to the Chinese market; organized 7 job fairs for children of members and members, women with 357 participants; supported 72 women with procedures for labor export; supported connections to consume products for women starting businesses and many start-up products of women members were posted on websites and e-commerce platforms...

Regarding the orientation of the project to support women in starting a business in the period of 2026 - 2035, the Provincial Women's Union proposed solutions to continue to promote propaganda and mobilize women to raise awareness of the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State on starting a business, developing a business, and the role of women in economic development. Support women in innovating and creating business development and starting a business; applying information technology in business and starting a business.
