Leaker Ice Universe revealed that the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition will be "better than ever" and the reason given is that Samsung has switched to UFG (Ultra Foldable Glass) technology.
Previously, the first image of the Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition was shared online. Accordingly, the device has a 6.5-inch outer screen and an 8-inch folding screen. When measured horizontally, the phone is 10.6mm in size when folded and 4.9mm when opened. Thus, the phone will be slightly thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold6. However, it seems that the phone will only be sold in Korea and China.
The Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition is also expected to feature an upgraded 5MP camera hidden under the device's folding screen. The back appears to have a unique and interesting brushed metal finish.
Besides, details such as the large secondary screen on the front, using a punch-hole design containing the selfie camera and square edges are quite similar to the Z Fold6.
A Korean retailer has reportedly announced pre-order and release dates for the Samsung Galaxy Fold6 Special Edition.
Accordingly, the pre-order program for Samsung's next horizontal folding phone model will begin on October 18 and end on October 24 before the phone is released on October 25.
