(Dan Tri) - Despite facing the world's 8th ranked opponent, Morocco, the Vietnamese Futsal team still managed to hold their opponent to a 3-3 draw.
After a 2-2 draw with New Zealand in the first round of the international friendly tournament in Vietnam, Vietnam Futsal entered an extremely difficult match with Morocco in the second round. This is a very strong opponent, ranked 8th in the world. In the first round, Morocco won 5-4 against the strongest team in Asia, Iran.

However, coach Diego Giustozzi's team played extremely resiliently. Instead of defending, the team unexpectedly took the initiative against their opponents. This risk helped Vietnam Futsal score a goal in the 30th second. Taking advantage of a Moroccan player's clearance, Tu Minh Quang unleashed a powerful shot that left the opponent's goalkeeper unable to react, opening the score for Vietnam Futsal. After this goal, Morocco raised their squad and equalized in the 3rd minute after Mottaki's shot. However, Vietnam Futsal still showed good spirit. In the 6th minute, we took the lead after Duc Hoa scored from the penalty spot. Goalkeeper Ho Van Y had a good match but he could not prevent Morocco from scoring the equalizer 2-2 at the end of the first half. In the second half, Vietnam Futsal played quite well. Our high pressing strategy made it difficult for Morocco. In the 32nd minute, Vietnam Futsal continued to lead 3-2. After a pass from Nhat Trung, Chu Van Tien finished close to the goal. In the final minutes, Morocco played power play and equalized 3-3 in the 38th minute. Although they could not win, holding a very strong opponent, Morocco, to a draw was also a great success for Vietnam Futsal. We are ranked 3rd with 2 points after two draws against New Zealand and Morocco. Morocco is at the top of the table with 4 points, Iran is ranked 2nd with 3 points. In this round, Iran won easily with a score of 5-1. Vietnam Futsal will face Iran in the final round at 5:00 p.m. on March 31.
