Indonesian Youth and Sports Minister Dito Ariotedjo emphasized: "The government highly appreciates the achievements of the Indonesian futsal team. The players deserve to be rewarded for their efforts in the recent tournament, especially after defeating the Vietnamese futsal team 2-0 in the final match."
Minister Dito Ariotedjo hopes that the Indonesian futsal team can continue its success in future tournaments such as the 2025 SEA Games, 2026 ASIAD and move towards the goal of participating in the World Cup for the first time.
According to Indonesian media, this is the largest bonus the country's futsal team has ever received. In recent years, the Indonesian futsal team has risen rapidly and surpassed the Vietnamese futsal team to rank second in Southeast Asia. In the world, Indonesia also rose 4 places to 24th after winning the Southeast Asian championship.

In the past, the Indonesian futsal team has never participated in the World Cup. Meanwhile, two other teams in Southeast Asia, Vietnam and Thailand, have both participated in this tournament.
Even in the two times participating in 2016 and 2021, the Vietnamese futsal team excelled in passing the group stage. In the 2021 tournament, we only lost to the world's top team, Russia, with a score of 2-3 in the round of 16.
Indonesian football has been heavily invested in over the years. The national team and youth teams have achieved good results in the continent.
Futsal has also been heavily invested in with the hope of being able to keep pace with Thailand in the future. Breaking the dominance of the "War Elephants" in the Southeast Asian futsal tournament after 14 years is considered their first achievement.
