Vietnam and China Railways sign Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation on signal information

On December 17, at the headquarters of Vietnam Railway Corporation, the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between China Railway Signal Group Co., Ltd. and Vietnam Railway Corporation was signed.

Attending the event were Mr. O Quoc Quyen, Counselor of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Vietnam, Mr. Lau Te Luong, Chairman of the Board of Directors, China Railway Signal Group Limited Company, Mr. Dang Sy Manh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Railway Corporation, Mr. Hoang Gia Khanh, General Director of Vietnam Railway Corporation, and representatives of the two enterprises.

The memorandum of understanding emphasizes the desire of both sides to cooperate in areas such as development, construction, operation, management, and training of projects related to Vietnam's railway transport. The two sides agreed to select priority cooperation issues including: Planning, technical consultancy, implementation consultancy, construction, training and retraining of technical staff or related operating staff on information and signal systems.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dang Sy Manh - Chairman of Vietnam Railways Corporation expressed his hope that today's signing ceremony will be a good start, opening up many opportunities for more substantive and specific cooperation, continuing the tradition of close and cooperative relations between enterprises of the two countries in the railway sector in general, and between Vietnam Railways Corporation and China Railway Signal and Information Group Limited in particular.
