This is the largest group of Chinese tourists since the end of the Covid-19 epidemic and is also the first charter train in the cooperation program between Lao Cai Department of Tourism and the railway industry.

Accordingly, on the evening of November 21, the group of tourists arrived at Lao Cai station to board the train to Hanoi. From Hanoi station, the group will travel by train to destinations such as Hue, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phan Thiet, Binh Thuan, and Saigon. Then, they will return to Lao Cai to enter China through the Lao Cai International Border Gate, ending the 13-day train tour.

The ship is very clean and comfortable, I am looking forward to an interesting, fun and impressive experience. I hope that in the future, more people will know about Vietnam and come to visit.”

Tourist Vuong Hao from Yunnan (China) has been to Vietnam many times. However, since the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, this is her second time to Vietnam.

Ms. Vuong Hao said: “After entering Vietnam, we traveled by train, this is the first time I have experienced. We will travel by train through beautiful places in Vietnam such as: Ha Long Bay, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Mui Ne, Ho Chi Minh City - a very beautiful route. I hope that in the future, travel companies of the two countries will cooperate more so that tourists have the opportunity to participate in many trips like this.”

Welcoming a large number of Chinese tourists by train is one of the initial results of the railway industry and Lao Cai Department of Tourism after many efforts to promote and advertise in China in recent times.

It is known that this year, the railway industry has coordinated with travel and tourism companies to organize 16 charter trains with a total of 7,000 passengers. Of these, 12 trains travel from Hanoi - Saigon - Hanoi and 4 depart from Lao Cai.
