Ta Van village is located in the commune of the same name, in Sa Pa town (Lao Cai). The village leans against the mountain, facing the poetic Muong Hoa valley. The name Ta Van means “big arc” to describe this place.

The rice harvest season in Sa Pa starts around mid-August to October every year, so this is the time when many tourists visit Ta Van village to admire the beautiful golden terraced fields. This is also the time when this place is most vibrant.

In the morning, sipping a cup of tea, slowly looking into the distance where the terraced fields are blooming like wearing a new coat. The fragrant yellow color of the sticky rice milk in the highlands is always pleasant and gentle, sometimes making people want to forget the time.

Watching the clouds and enjoying the rice fields rustling in the wind, it feels like the space has closed, strangely peaceful. In Ta Van, there is a very beautiful coffee camping area by the stream.

If you come here, you should go trekking around the village and then come back to enjoy coffee. Some other activities such as camping from 50 thousand VND/person, painting statues, soaking feet in herbs, roasting marshmallows in the evening are also quite reasonable.

In addition to admiring the magnificent picture of terraced rice fields, visitors can also learn about the indigenous culture of the H'Mong, Dao, Tay, and Giay ethnic groups.
