Duc Trong: Meeting with delegates of outstanding veterans and former youth volunteers

(LĐ online) - On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Lam Dong (April 3, 1975 - April 3, 2025) and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Duc Trong (April 2, 1975 - April 2, 2025), on March 26, the Veterans Association of Duc Trong district coordinated with the Association of Former Youth Volunteers to organize a meeting with representatives of veterans and former youth volunteers who participated in the resistance war against the US to save the country.

At the meeting, delegates reviewed the glorious victory of our army and people in the resistance war against the US to save the country; the achievements after 50 years of liberating the South and reunifying the country.

During nearly 40 years of implementing the renovation policy initiated and led by the Party, the Party Committee and the people of all ethnic groups in Duc Trong district have promoted the spirit of self-reliance, solidarity, unity, and striving to develop the district comprehensively; including the contributions of cadres, members of the War Veterans Association, and former Youth Volunteers at all levels in Duc Trong district.

Attending and speaking at the meeting, comrade Le Hong Khanh - Standing Deputy Secretary of Duc Trong District Party Committee, acknowledged and highly appreciated the great contributions of war veterans and former youth volunteers in the struggle for national liberation and unification. At the same time, he hoped and believed that war veterans and former youth volunteers would always be shining examples for the younger generations to follow.

Giving gifts to members of the Association of War Veterans and former Youth Volunteers in difficult circumstances

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Duc Trong district awarded 50 individuals who are outstanding war veterans and former youth volunteers; presented gifts to 10 war veterans and former youth volunteers with difficult family circumstances (each gift worth 500,000 VND).
