Duc Hanh received the title of commune meeting advanced new rural standards

Duc Linh District People's Committee has just solemnly held a ceremony to announce the decision of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman recognizing Duc Hanh commune as meeting advanced new rural standards in 2023 and launching the construction of a model new rural commune in 2024.

Attending and sharing joy with the authorities and people of Duc Hanh commune were Mr. Mai Kieu - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the province - Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for National Target Programs of the province, Le Van Toan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee - Chairman of the District People's Council, Huynh Van Tinh - Chairman of the District People's Committee.

After achieving the NTM commune standard in 2014, Duc Hanh commune focused all resources and promoted solidarity, determined to complete the criteria to achieve the advanced NTM commune. By the end of 2023, the locality had completed 19/19 criteria for the advanced NTM commune.

The commune achieving the advanced NTM standard is the result of the efforts, solidarity and joint efforts of the entire political system and the people of Duc Hanh commune. The locality has had many good practices, proactively innovated and created in building NTM, bringing many positive results in changing the face of the countryside, and improving the lives of the people. Currently, the average income per capita of the commune is 69.1 million VND/person/year; the poverty rate has decreased to 2.97%.

Ceremony to announce Duc Hanh commune achieving advanced NTM standards

The infrastructure system is invested synchronously, agricultural production creates safe, high-quality products that are environmentally friendly. The economic structure and labor structure have changed in a positive direction. The agricultural economy has developed in a diverse way, implementing production linkages, planning specialized areas for cashew, fruit trees, and concentrated rubber trees associated with restructuring the agricultural sector. The collective economic sector and cooperatives have received attention, with directions suitable to the development of the market economy, creating key agricultural products, OCOP products, typical products, and local advantages to grant area codes to meet export requirements, increase product value, etc.

At the announcement ceremony, Mr. Mai Kieu - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the province and Mr. Huynh Van Tinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Duc Linh district, awarded the Certificate of Recognition of meeting the advanced NTM standards in 2023 by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to Duc Hanh commune.

On this occasion, many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the movement to build advanced new rural areas in the locality were awarded certificates of merit by the People's Committee of Duc Linh district and the People's Committee of Duc Hanh commune.
