Socio-economic development programs currently being implemented in localities aim to continue promoting the role of the Fatherland Front system at all levels; the role of prestigious people in the community, cadres who are ethnic minorities, thereby gathering opinions and recommendations of ethnic minorities to reflect to the Party, State and localities.
In recent years, the attention of the Party, the State and the province has created motivation for ethnic minorities in Binh Thuan province to strive for economic development, thereby changing the face of the province's ethnic minority rural areas. People's lives have gradually improved, traditional cultures of ethnic minorities have been respected, preserved and promoted; the intellectual level of the people has been raised. Up to now, hunger has been basically eliminated, poverty has been reduced, there are houses, land for production, water for daily life, children can go to school, and sick people can be treated... These results are partly due to the contributions of village elders, village chiefs and prestigious people and cadres who are ethnic minorities. With their prestige, this team has propagated, persuaded and encouraged people to follow the Party, well implement the Party's policies and guidelines, the State's laws, and local socio-economic development programs and goals. Thereby, the ideological situation of ethnic minorities in Binh Thuan continues to be stable, closely linked to the implementation of local policies and guidelines.
Identifying the task of grasping the ideology of ethnic minorities as an important task, in recent years, localities in the province with a large population of ethnic minorities have focused on implementing many effective solutions, promoting the role of prestigious people among the people, especially in religious and belief establishments, and ethnic minority cadres to promptly grasp their thoughts and aspirations as well as through them to propagate policies, laws and political tasks of the locality. This force also participates in propaganda, mobilization and reconciliation right from the grassroots level to prevent the emergence of hot spots and mass complaints.
According to the Ethnic Minorities Committee, in recent times, Binh Thuan province has implemented many specific ethnic policies based on the application of the Central Government's policies and the actual situation of ethnic minority areas. In addition, localities in the province also take care of cultural development, preserving and promoting the ethnic cultural identity of ethnic minorities. Creating conditions for ethnic minorities to promote traditional festivals, such as Kate Festival, Ramuwan of the Cham people, Dau Lua Festival of the Rac Lay people, Nghinh Ong Festival of the Chinese people... to typical cultural and artistic forms in the community. At the same time, maintain and improve the quality of facilities teaching writing and mother tongue to ethnic minorities; actively preserve and promote the cultural, historical and traditional artistic heritages of ethnic minorities... However, besides the positive changes, the life and production of ethnic minorities and mountainous areas still have some problems such as the majority of ethnic minorities live in remote areas, so access and enjoyment of health care services, education and training, cultural and social information is still limited. A part of ethnic minorities have inadequate awareness of politics and society, and their awareness of law enforcement and compliance still has many issues of concern...
Therefore, contacting, listening to the thoughts, aspirations, proposals and recommendations of ethnic minorities on the implementation of the Party's policies, the State's and the province's laws and policies. The situation of the great national unity bloc; socio-economic development programs currently being implemented in the locality aims to continue promoting the role of the Fatherland Front system at all levels, of cadres working on ethnic affairs; the role of prestigious people in the community, cadres who are ethnic minorities, thereby gathering opinions and recommendations of the people to reflect to the Party and the State, to the province. Thereby, contributing to improving all aspects of the lives of ethnic minorities; further promoting the role of prestigious people representing ethnic minorities in the whole province to coordinate propaganda and mobilize ethnic minorities to comply with the Party's policies and guidelines, the State's policies and laws, and local regulations. Strengthen social consensus, promote the rights and responsibilities of ethnic minorities in participating in Party building, building a clean and strong government; consolidate and promote the strength of the great national unity bloc.
In order to quickly bring the Party's ideas to ethnic minorities and create consensus, in addition to propaganda and mobilization, the key solution is still comprehensive economic development, ensuring social security, in which more attention is paid to the characteristics of ethnic minorities. All levels, sectors, localities, and the entire political system have prioritized resources, invested in economic development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, especially areas with special socio-economic difficulties, achieving very important results, essential infrastructure has been invested in and built more synchronously, the material and spiritual life of ethnic minorities has improved significantly, the poverty rate has decreased rapidly and more sustainably, the role of ethnic minority cadres is very important, not only acting as a bridge to bring the Party's ideas to ethnic minorities, but also being the ones who directly grasp and convey the thoughts and aspirations of ethnic minorities to the Party, the State, and the province. Therefore, promoting the role of ethnic minority cadres is extremely important in the new period. Current reality shows that with the planning and training of ethnic minority cadres in the field of work in localities in the province, they have also demonstrated their role in each assigned field. Training, fostering and promoting the role of ethnic minority cadres is an important factor to ensure the rapid and sustainable development of ethnic minority areas that need to be paid attention to in the current context of integration.
Through the practical work from the province, district to commune levels, the important role of ethnic minority cadres has been gradually affirmed. They have contributed to promoting socio-economic development, maintaining political security, social order and safety in ethnic minority areas, as well as consolidating and promoting the great national unity bloc in localities throughout the province. The results achieved in ethnic and religious work in recent times will be the driving force for ethnic minorities in our province to promote the will of self-reliance, self-reliance, strive to compete in socio-economic development, maintain national defense and security, build and consolidate the great national unity bloc increasingly strong, always equal, united, supportive, helping each other to develop together, join hands, strive to build new countryside, build a homeland that is increasingly developed, rich, beautiful, civilized, which is the fulcrum, a very important bridge to soon bring the Party's ideas to ethnic minorities in Binh Thuan province.
