Saigon Railway Transport Branch said that the railway still maintains running old train pairs on the Da Lat - Trai Mat route to serve spring tourists in the city of thousands of flowers, Da Lat.
Specifically, the DL3/DL4 train pair runs daily, the DL3 train departs from Da Lat station at 9:55 am, the DL4 train departs from Trai Mat at 10:55 am.
In addition, depending on customer demand, the railway will run 4 pairs of daytime trains DL1/DL2, DL5/DL6, DL7/DL8, DL9/DL10; one pair of evening trains DL13/DL14.
Train pair DL11/DL12 runs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening; train DL11 departs from Da Lat station at 6:15 pm, train DL12 departs from Trai Mat at 7:15 pm.
Ticket prices range from 60,000-150,000 VND/person/trip. Groups buying tickets will receive discounts depending on one-way tickets, round-trip tickets and the number of people in the group.
Daytime train travelers cannot miss the check-in point of Da Lat station, which has been recognized as a tourist destination by the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee since October 1, 2024. Da Lat station was built during the French colonial period and is known as the most beautiful train station in Indochina. The station was designed by two French architects, Moncet and Reveron, and is shaped like the majestic Langbiang mountain.
With an entrance ticket of 50,000 VND, visitors can visit, have fun and use some free services in the architectural relic area of Da Lat station. Tickets for the Da Lat - Trai Mat railway route (8 km) are charged separately, however, passengers who buy train tickets do not need to buy entrance tickets.
On the Da Lat - Trai Mat route, on the train journey through the farms, passengers can admire the colorful flower gardens and cool vegetable gardens while sipping a cup of artichoke tea to the gentle music performed by live musicians.
If you take the night train, you can relax and admire the magical and unique beauty of Da Lat at night, with the electric lights sparkling on the flower farms along the train journey like shooting stars. The train is designed in a nostalgic style, taking you back to Indochina in the 30s and 50s of the last century.
In December 2024, the railway will put into operation the La Reine (Queen) train. Inspired by the architecture of the Nam Phuong Queen Palace, the La Reine train is designed to be luxurious and sophisticated. It is a combination of Indochinese and French styles, both bearing the beauty of classical Asia and the romantic, poetic beauty of Da Lat. The ancient-style decorative lighting system creates a harmonious, luxurious overall space. Visitors who choose to travel on this train will have an extremely interesting experience.
