Visit Hung Lo ancient village
Hung Lo ancient village in Hung Lo commune, located on the gentle Lo river, is one of the outstanding destinations for community cultural tourism. The first place that tourists visit is the historical and cultural relic of Dinh Xom - Dinh Hung Lo with ancient architecture, many decorative motifs associated with the Hung King era and preserving many valuable antiques, of which the most typical are 5 gilded red palanquins and festival characters dating back more than 300 years. In addition, there are up to 50 ancient houses hundreds of years old that have preserved the architectural and cultural features of a traditional village full of identity and uniqueness.
In 2021, the Provincial People's Committee recognized Hung Lo as a community cultural tourism destination, opening up the potential to exploit unique historical and cultural values for tourism development. Coming to Hung Lo, visitors can not only visit and admire the ancient architectural works of the ancient Vietnamese countryside, but also participate in traditional activities. Here, visitors can enjoy Xoan singing performances - an intangible cultural heritage of humanity; experience traditional craft villages such as the process of making noodles, wrapping banh chung, making rice paper, visiting the rural market... This is not only a traditional profession that brings income to families but is also gradually becoming a quality tourism product with its own unique cultural characteristics for the ancient village.
In 2022, Hung Lo community tourism was honored to be recognized as a 3-star provincial OCOP product, contributing to promoting economic value, creating job opportunities and increasing income for the local community. Up to now, the Hung Lo Community Tourism Service Cooperative Group, consisting of 17 members, has continuously improved and developed services to meet the increasing needs of domestic and foreign tourists. According to statistics, in 2024, this tourist destination welcomed nearly 16,000 visitors, including international visitors, marking a remarkable development of community tourism here.
