Da Nang tourism launches promotion to attract key and potential international markets in 2025

(To Quoc) - Starting in 2025, Da Nang's tourism industry is bustling with many promotional activities to attract key and potential international markets to the city, opening up opportunities to approach, develop and effectively exploit the source of visitors from these markets.


The Da Nang Department of Tourism said that from January 10 to 13, a famtrip delegation of 25 representatives from travel agencies in the Philippines came to survey tourist routes in Da Nang city and the Central region.

This is one of the activities in the plan to promote the development of direct flights from Manila (Philippines) - Da Nang operated by Cebu Pacific Air with a frequency of 7 flights/week and charter flights operated by Royal Air with a frequency of 1 flight every 4 days. In 2023 and 2024, Da Nang tourism industry has had many tourism promotion activities in this market such as: organizing a program to introduce Da Nang tourism in Manila; welcoming famtrip, presstrip and KOLs from the Philippines to visit, experience and promote Da Nang tourism.

The famtrip delegation included representatives of travel agencies in the Philippines to survey tourist routes in Da Nang city and the Central region.

Also during the period from January 13 to 20, Da Nang welcomed a famtrip delegation of CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) including 6 representatives of travel companies in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan to visit and survey Da Nang, contributing to bringing the image and destination of Da Nang closer to tourists in countries in the Commonwealth of Independent States.

At the same time, the survey trip provides an opportunity to promote exchanges and cooperation between Da Nang tourism businesses and travel companies from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, preparing for flights from Astana and Almaty to Da Nang scheduled for the end of March 2025.

In 2024, Da Nang welcomed 10.9 million overnight guests, an increase of 32.8% over the previous year. In particular, the number of international visitors to Da Nang reached a record high, with more than 4.1 million, an increase of 36.3% over the same period in 2023. In particular, the Philippines is one of the important markets, with 80,000 visitors to Da Nang last year, an increase of 8 times compared to 2023. With the expectation of reaching 11.9 million tourist arrivals in 2025, an increase of 10% compared to 2024, of which international visitors are estimated to reach more than 4.8 million and domestic visitors are estimated to reach more than 7.1 million, the Da Nang tourism industry focuses resources on implementing many synchronous and effective solutions for promoting, communicating, and advertising Da Nang tourism.

In addition to the bustling activities to kick off the new year 2025 such as welcoming the first international flight and cruise ship to Da Nang on January 1, 2025, welcoming famtrip groups and international bloggers to Da Nang for surveys and experiences, it is expected that in the first quarter of 2025, the Da Nang Department of Tourism will simultaneously deploy many activities to promote and advertise the image of tourism at the beginning of the year to international markets such as: participating in the AIME Fair (Australia) (February 8 - February 13, 2025), organizing a program to introduce Da Nang tourism in Ahmedabad (India) and participating in the SATTE India Fair (February 15 - February 22, 2025), welcoming the Australian travel famtrip group to Da Nang (March 16 - March 20, 2025), welcoming the international golf travel famtrip group - AGTC 2025 (March 29 - April 1, 2025) along with many other activities.
