Music tourism - Potential product

Although it has only been formed and developed in Quang Ninh in the past 2 years, music tourism programs on the shores of heritage have become an attractive tourist experience in Ha Long, one of the potential tourism products contributing to attracting tourists, especially in the fall and winter.

In the first 9 months of 2024, Quang Ninh tourism welcomed 15.6 million visitors. Recently, on October 21, the province also welcomed its 3 millionth international visitor. In recent years, with its natural landscape advantages, Quang Ninh sea tourism has affirmed its position on the tourist map not only domestically but also internationally. However, although it is a strength that attracts a large number of tourists in the summer, sea tourism is less attractive in the fall and winter due to the weather in the North, especially for domestic tourists.

Realizing this weakness, Quang Ninh tourism industry has focused on building new products and experiences for the fall and winter, exploiting cultural and entertainment elements. Keeping up with the trend of music tourism in recent years worldwide as well as domestically, music programs and music festivals in Quang Ninh are increasingly organized more frequently, on a larger scale, gathering famous faces and bringing invested, meticulous products with high artistic value.

One of the recent programs that can be mentioned is: Thanh am Ben Thong - Tram Thanh Xuan, held in mid-October at the Doi Mat Troi stage, with the background of the world natural heritage Ha Long Bay. The program has a special combination of singer Phuong Thanh, a "unique" voice that has left an impression on fans over the years with Rock-style hits such as Trong vang, Dem Lao xao... Along with that is the appearance of singer Tang Phuc, a face with great influence on young audiences at this time, especially loved after the TV show Anh trai vuon ngan cong gai 2024. These two names have attracted nearly 1,000 audiences, including many fans from many provinces and cities to Ha Long. The program is an attractive cultural product, contributing to spreading the image of Ha Long, the miraculous recovery of Quang Ninh tourism to artists and tourists.

With convenient transportation and modern facilities, although it has only appeared in Ha Long, in the past 2 years, hundreds of large and small music shows have been organized, attracting a large number of tourists to Quang Ninh. Along with that, the scale of the shows is also getting bigger and bigger in terms of both the number of participating artists and the audience.

This summer and fall, Love in the Bay season 4 also chose Ha Long as the venue. Top artists showed off their voices in the Heritage Bay through music programs held on the 5-star Ambassador cruise ship, amidst the magnificent natural scenery, leaving special impressions.

From now until the end of the year, many major music events will also be held in Quang Ninh. Notably, Superfest 2024@QuangNinh with the participation of names such as Soobin, BinZ, Bang Kieu, Wean, Quang Hung MasterD... at the Sun Carnival Ha Long Square stage, with a capacity of 10,000 spectators.

As a favorite destination for international visitors in the fall and winter, with available infrastructure for major cultural events, continuing to exploit this music tourism market with great potential promises to turn Ha Long, Quang Ninh into a four-season tourist destination, not only achieving the goal of welcoming 19 million visitors in 2024 but also being one of the solutions to attract visitors for the following years.
