According to the People's Committee of Da Lat City, in the period of 2025 - 2027, the city will continue to implement its commitments to join the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in the field of music. In particular, it will focus on implementing 3 international initiatives including: the Southeast Asian Gong Harmony Program, the Sound of the Great Forest Program, and the Langbiang International Music Festival. Along with these activities are activities to implement the tasks of a member of the network, implementing local initiatives as committed when joining the UNESCO Creative Network.
Dalat Spring Concert took place in Dalat on the evening of December 21, 2024 with the participation of many famous international artists.
Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Dang Quang Tu, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Lat City, affirmed that the title of UNESCO's Creative City of Music is a premise and effective support for the city in promoting cultural diplomacy, promoting the development of cultural industries with advantages associated with local tourism development. At the same time, creating highly competitive cultural products and services, creating more stable jobs, and contributing positively to the city's socio-economic development.
The Organizing Committee also acknowledged many creative ideas, orientations and suitable solutions for the UNESCO City of Music from experts and managers. At the same time, it acknowledged suggestions on solutions to mobilize non-budgetary investment capital and other legal capital sources to invest in developing local cultural industries.
On October 31, 2023, Da Lat City was officially recognized as the next member of Vietnam to join the UNESCO Global Creative Cities Network in the field of music.
