Coffee price forecast tomorrow 1 9/2/2025
Today (February 18), domestic coffee prices fell by VND500/kg, reflecting the cautious sentiment of investors as the market enters a correction phase after a series of strong increases. The increase in the value of the USD has made goods less attractive, especially in the context of the US imposing higher import taxes on some markets.
Although coffee inventories on the ICE exchange remain low, this has not put much pressure on domestic coffee prices. In the Central Highlands, an unseasonal rain has just occurred, which may affect the first flowering of the 2025-2026 coffee crop. However, the current crop's coffee supply has not improved significantly, causing the market to maintain high prices despite slight adjustments.
Analysts say that although coffee prices may fall in the short term due to profit-taking pressure, the market outlook remains positive in the long term. Global demand remains high while supply has not shown signs of a sudden increase. Brazil’s 1.6% cut in exports in January 2025 may help keep prices from falling too far. The market is currently monitoring weather developments in major growing regions to assess supply prospects in the coming period.
Speaking to reporters, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong - Owner of a coffee purchasing business in Bao Loc City, Lam Dong Province said: "Despite the current cautious sentiment of investors, due to the scarce supply, the price of coffee tomorrow, February 19, 2025, will increase again, with an increase of about 1,500 VND/kg".
