Agree on the policy of installing 7 traffic light clusters

On November 5, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province issued a document agreeing to assign the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee to establish an investment policy for projects to overcome a number of potential traffic accident black spots in the province, with an implementation period from 2024 to 2026.

According to the report of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee, based on the feedback from the localities, the unit established an inspection team and found that at some intersections, due to the increasing density of vehicles participating in traffic, the organization of traffic by painted lines, signs... is no longer suitable, causing insecurity, traffic congestion and many unfortunate accidents.

The Provincial Traffic Safety Committee has proposed that the Provincial People's Committee consider allowing investment in 7 traffic light clusters in localities. Of which, Dong Ha proposed to install at 3 locations: the intersection of Le Loi Street - Dai Co Viet Street - Nguyen Huu Khieu Street, the intersection of Dang Dung Street - Ngo Sy Lien Street, the intersection of Le Thanh Tong Street - Tran Binh Trong Street.

In Quang Tri town, it is proposed to install at 2 locations: the intersection of Hai Ba Trung Street - Le Hong Phong Street, the intersection of Tran Hung Dao Street - Le Hong Phong Street.

The remaining two locations are the intersection of the main road along the Southeast Economic Zone - District Road DH.43, Trieu Phong District and the intersection of km0+120/National Highway 9 - Nguyen Huu Tho Street, Cua Viet Town, Gio Linh District. The total estimated investment is 7.9 billion VND.
