Delegates of Muong Nhe District People's Council voted to elect the position of Chairman of the District People's Committee for the 5th term, 2021 - 2026.

At this session, the District People's Council reviewed the report assessing the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and budget for 2023; decided on the socio-economic development plan, budget estimate and budget allocation for 2024.

In 2023, the economic structure of Muong Nhe district will continue to shift towards a gradual decrease in the agricultural and forestry sector and an increase in the industrial - construction and service sectors. The total product in the district is estimated at 1,618,413 billion VND, an increase of 18.5% over the same period last year. Some indicators increased significantly compared to the same period last year such as: Spring-summer sowing and harvesting area; winter-spring rice area; livestock herd speed; industrial production value... The implementation of poverty reduction work in the district has achieved positive results. The poverty rate decreased by 7.47% compared to 2022. The infrastructure of the education sector has been strengthened, policies for teachers and students have been well implemented. The political security situation, social order and safety have been maintained stably, border markers, and national border sovereignty have been maintained...

The District People's Council also reviewed the 2023 work report and key tasks for 2024 of the Standing Committee of the People's Council, the People's Committee, the People's Council Committees, the People's Court, the People's Procuracy, and the District Civil Judgment Enforcement Office. Also at this session, the delegates voted to approve the submission and draft Resolution on the dismissal and termination of the duties of the District People's Council delegate for the 5th term, 2021 - 2026 term for comrade Nguyen Van Hung, former Chairman of the District People's Committee who has been transferred to a new assignment. At the same time, they voted to dismiss the Head of the Economic - Social Committee of the District People's Council and introduce the election of the position of Chairman of the District People's Committee for the 5th term, 2021 - 2026 term for comrade Ta Van Son, Deputy Secretary of the Muong Nhe District Party Committee. The delegates of the District People's Council unanimously elected comrade Ta Van Son to hold the position of Chairman of the District People's Committee, term V, 2021 - 2026 term with a high number of votes of confidence.

At the 12th session, the People's Council of Muong Nhe district, term V, 2021 - 2026, passed resolutions on goals and tasks of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security; estimates and allocation of local budget estimates for 2024 and many other important contents.
