Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia chaired the conference to implement the merger of the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper with Nhan Dan Newspaper.

(CLO) On the afternoon of December 12, in Hanoi, Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department chaired the Conference on merging the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper with Nhan Dan Newspaper.

Attending the Conference were leaders of the Central Propaganda Department and a number of departments and units of the Central Propaganda Department; the Editorial Board of Nhan Dan Newspaper and the Editorial Board of the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper.

At the Conference, Comrade Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association and Comrade Nguyen Cong Dung, Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper presented the plan to transfer and receive functions and tasks related to press activities of the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper to Nhan Dan Newspaper.

The conference also listened to the opinions of leaders of the Central Propaganda Department, Nhan Dan Newspaper and the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper on ending the activities of the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper and transferring related functions and tasks to Nhan Dan Newspaper.

In his concluding remarks at the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, emphasized that the process of merging the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper with Nhan Dan Newspaper must be carried out step by step, following the set roadmap, ensuring effective and efficient operations.

During the implementation process, it is necessary to thoroughly grasp the instructions of the Central Steering Committee on summarizing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 6th Central Conference, Session XII "Some issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined, effective and efficient"; properly implement the Plan of the Central Steering Committee on the goals, requirements, principles, mottos of organizational work, ideological work and policy work according to the authority of each agency and unit.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia noted that during the process of transferring functions and tasks to Nhan Dan Newspaper, the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper needs to maintain stable operations and continue to perform well its information and propaganda tasks. The Central Propaganda Department will preside over and coordinate with Nhan Dan Newspaper to carry out the transfer and take over of functions and tasks of the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper according to the set schedule.
