Provincial Party Secretary works with Gia Vien district

On the afternoon of October 25, comrade Doan Minh Huan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, worked with Gia Vien district to grasp the implementation of work since the beginning of the 2020-2025 term up to now.

Also attending were comrades: To Van Tu, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Organization Committee; Tran Song Tung, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, branches and sectors of the province. On the side of Gia Vien district, there were leaders of the District Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Doan Minh Huan emphasized: Through the meeting, we aim to grasp the situation of the district in terms of characteristics, difficulties and obstacles to find solutions to overcome and remove them.

It focuses on a number of issues: the arrangement of commune-level administrative units, associated with the organization and orientation of urban space development; the construction of housing for workers in industrial parks; the attraction of investment in key projects; the work of building the Party and the political system.

At the meeting, the leaders of Gia Vien district reported to the Provincial Party Secretary on the work results from the beginning of the 2020-2025 term to October 2023.

Accordingly, in the past time, the Party Committee and people of Gia Vien district continued to promote the spirit of solidarity, achieved many important results; achieved and exceeded 5 targets set out in the Resolution of the 22nd District Party Congress, term 2020-2025.

The district's economic structure continues to shift towards increasing the proportion of industry - construction, trade - services and tourism; attracting businesses to invest in the area is highly effective.

Agriculture, forestry and fishery have achieved many positive results; the value of products per hectare of cultivated land in 2023 is estimated at 120.1 million VND/ha; the average income per capita in the period of 2020-2023 is 64 million VND/person/year. The annual state budget revenue in the area always meets and exceeds the assigned estimate.

Culture and society have made much progress; local defense and military work, social order and safety are ensured. The movement to build advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas continues to be focused on and achieve high results, people's lives are significantly improved.

Party building and the political system are focused on. The number of grassroots Party organizations meeting the standard of "Completing tasks well" or higher annually reaches nearly 90%. To date, the district has admitted 683 new Party members and established 5 grassroots Party organizations outside the State sector.

Internal affairs, anti-corruption, anti-negativity and judicial reform are focused on. Administrative reform, digital transformation, e-government building associated with discipline and public service have seen positive changes; the responsibility of leaders of Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and political organizations at all levels has been gradually raised.

At the meeting, the leaders of Gia Vien district also discussed and clarified the contents of the Provincial Party Secretary's instructions.
