Teacher training innovation

At the end of May, Thai Nguyen University of Education held a graduation ceremony and awarded bachelor's degrees to nearly 400 students for the second batch of 2024. Receiving her bachelor's degree, future teacher Nguyen Thuy Linh emotionally shared: "During the four years of university, my friends and I were guided by teachers, equipped with knowledge and pedagogical methods to confidently step onto the podium. Teachers are shining examples of dedication, passion, and responsibility to students, for us to follow throughout our future teaching careers."

At the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Mai Xuan Truong, Principal of the school, praised the achievements of the students, thanked the parents for entrusting their children to the school over the years and asked them to apply the knowledge they have acquired and acquired in the university lecture hall into practice, strive to become teachers who meet the requirements of the educational career, adding to the glorious history of the school over the past nearly 60 years.

As a member school of Thai Nguyen University, Thai Nguyen University of Education has nearly 300 lecturers and teachers, of which 186 have professor, associate professor and doctoral degrees. It is assigned to enroll about 1,000 students annually, with a training scale of about 3,000 to 3,500 students, of which in 2023 it will train nearly 3,600 students from preschool to high school.

Professor, Dr. Pham Hong Quang, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Council of Thai Nguyen University, assessed: “Up to now, Thai Nguyen University of Education is one of the few schools with 100% of its bachelor of education training programs accredited. Generations of students trained by the school are all solid in their expertise, dedicated to the podium, contributing to the education and training career in the midland and mountainous regions of the North...”.

Over the past time, the school has continuously improved the capacity of its teaching staff, through solutions such as sending many lecturers to research, attend training courses, and train on the 2018 general education program; sending teachers to field trips, and coordinating with high schools to conduct scientific research on the content of the new general education program.

The school builds and maintains effective learning community activities among lecturers in the school, the general teacher community to share teaching experiences. The school has increased the use of active teaching methods and techniques, applied information technology, guided students to build Elearning lectures; sent students to practice and practice in schools, so when students of Thai Nguyen University of Education graduate, they all have the qualifications and teaching skills in the direction of capacity development.

At the same time, we have innovated testing and evaluation to supplement appropriate teaching methods to train students and trainees with solid expertise. Therefore, most students after graduation are recruited and highly appreciated by localities.”

Up to now, Thai Nguyen University of Education has trained more than 3,200 core general teachers and more than 20,000 general general teachers for the provinces, especially the provinces in the Northern midland and mountainous areas. Thereby, actively contributing to improving the quality of education in the localities.
