Long An Province 515 Steering Committee welcomed team K73 back home.

In the second phase of phase XXII (dry season 2022-2023), after 4 months of searching in BattamBang and Pailin provinces, Kingdom of Cambodia, Team K73, Long An Provincial Military Command found 81 sets of martyrs' remains. Accordingly, in phase XXII (dry season 2022-2023), the total number of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers' remains repatriated to the country was 122 sets, of which 1 set was identified; bringing the results through 22 phases of collecting martyrs' remains from 2001 to present to 2,373 sets of martyrs' remains and 6 mass graves (about 280 remains).

According to Lieutenant Colonel Tran Chi Cong, Team Leader of Team K73, through each stage, the task of searching for the remains of volunteer soldiers in Cambodia has become increasingly difficult. However, with the sense of responsibility of the officers and soldiers, and the enthusiastic help of the government, armed forces and people of Pailin and Battambang provinces, Team K73 has found many sources of information about the burial places of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers. From there, the unit has organized excavation, collection and repatriation of the soldiers to their homeland.

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Minh Tan, Deputy Political Commissar of the Long An Provincial Military Command, congratulated Team K73 for successfully completing the sacred mission assigned by the Party and the State. This was the result of the spirit of solidarity, high consensus, effectiveness of political and ideological education, thorough understanding of the mission and the efforts to overcome all difficulties and strive to successfully complete the mission of the K73 team.

On this occasion, the 515 Steering Committee of Military Region 7 and the 515 Steering Committee of Long An province presented gifts to thank the cooperation teams of Pailin and Svay Rieng provinces (Cambodia) and congratulated the K73 team on their safe return to the country. In addition, the delegation offered incense to commemorate the martyrs at the memorial house of the remains of the K73 team.
