On March 30, 1975, the Central Military Commission urgently instructed the Military Commission and the Regional Command, stating: "The situation is changing rapidly, facing a great strategic opportunity, we need to seize the maximum time, act promptly, boldly, and attack by surprise, making the enemy unable to react."
On the morning of March 30, 1975 in Binh Dinh, Division 3 (Military Region 5) continued to destroy the remaining enemy clusters in Lai Nghi, Phu Xuan, Phu Hoa 2, captured Dieu Tri station and the headquarters of the puppet 22nd Division in An Son, cut and blocked Highway 1 to prevent the enemy from running to Quy Nhon .
Together with Division 3, Regiment 19 (Division 968) captured Tra Lam Son high point (west of Go Quanh) and destroyed Regiment 3, Regiment 49 of the puppet army, while Regiment 95A attacked Phu Phong and Mai Xuan Thuong mausoleum.
In Khanh Hoa, on the night of March 30, the province's forces continued to march through the forest to Dien Khanh. Some military officers of the province and the 10th Division (Tay Nguyen Army Corps) followed Highway 21 to Nha Trang.
In Phu Yen, implementing the plan to liberate Tuy Hoa town, Battalion 9 and Regiment 3 (Division 320) marched down to Deo Ca (Hao Son section) to block the enemy from retreating to Khanh Hoa .
In the South, the army and people of Binh Long attacked and rose up to occupy An Loc, the military district of Chon Thanh district, completely liberating Binh Long province.
The army and people of Thu Dau Mot, Tay Ninh, Long An , Long Khanh, and Binh Tuy provinces also launched combined attacks and uprisings, destroying many sub-regions and district bases... liberating a large, interconnected area in the north and northwest of Saigon.
The Mekong Delta also attacked and rose up to destroy the enemy, destroy and force the withdrawal of hundreds of enemy posts, seize power, and take control in a number of localities.
Also on March 30, 1975, the Central Military Commission sent a telegram praising and encouraging the army and people of the Central Highlands who had just achieved a resounding victory.
The telegram reads: The army and people of the whole country are extremely excited about the brilliant victory of the army and people of the Central Highlands. The Central Military Commission warmly commends all officers and soldiers of the armed forces and people of the Central Highlands for their outstanding achievements and commends the achievements of comrades in the whole army./.
