Towards the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024), from July 4 to 6, the delegation of Phu Tho province led by Comrade Phung Khanh Tai - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee respectfully offered incense and wreaths to commemorate heroic martyrs at the Hill 82 Martyrs Cemetery, Tan Bien District, Tay Ninh Province and the Binh Duong Province Martyrs Cemetery, Ho Chi Minh City.
The delegation included members of the Provincial Party Committee: Nguyen Hai - Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Nguyen Trung Kien - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Commission, Colonel Nguyen Dinh Cuong - Commander of the Provincial Military Command; Comrade Nguyen Thanh Nam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; leaders of a number of departments, branches and localities of the province.
At the Hill 82 Martyrs Cemetery, Tan Bien District, Tay Ninh Province, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Phung Khanh Tai and the delegation of Phu Tho Province observed a minute of silence, expressing deep gratitude for the great contributions of the heroic martyrs in the struggle for national liberation, national reunification and for the noble international friendship.
Hill 82 Martyrs Cemetery, Tan Bien District is the resting place of more than 14,900 martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the resistance war against the US to save the country and fulfill international obligations. This is also the place where memorial services and burials of thousands of martyrs' remains gathered in Cambodia since the war until now are held.
Also in the gratitude program, the provincial delegation offered flowers and incense at the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial House and visited the Exhibition House of the Special National Historical and Cultural Relic Site of the Central Office for Southern Region.
At the Martyrs' Cemetery of Binh Duong Province and Ho Chi Minh City, after the incense offering ceremony, the Delegation visited and burned incense to pay tribute to the graves of heroic martyrs, including those from Phu Tho who sacrificed their lives in the struggle for national liberation and performed international duties in Cambodia.
