Delegation from Hung Yen and Hai Duong provinces pay tribute to heroic martyrs in Quang Tri

Today, June 29, the delegation of Hai Duong province led by Party Central Committee member and Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang and the delegation of Hung Yen province led by Party Central Committee member and Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Huu Nghia offered flowers and incense to pay tribute to heroic martyrs at Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery, Road 9 National Martyrs' Cemetery and Quang Tri Ancient Citadel. Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Tri province Nguyen Dang Quang; Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province Dao Manh Hung joined the delegation.

At the Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery and Road 9, in a sacred, solemn and respectful atmosphere, the delegation solemnly laid wreaths and offered incense to commemorate the great contributions of the heroic martyrs who fought and sacrificed their lives in the resistance war for national independence and freedom for the Fatherland, for the happiness of the people.

The sacrifices of the heroic martyrs have created heroic and indomitable feats of arms for the Vietnamese people; at the same time, they are also the pride of the entire Party, the entire army and the entire people. That heroic revolutionary tradition has been preserved and promoted in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland today.

Coming to lay wreaths and offer incense to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs at Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, the delegation expressed deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs who fought bravely and sacrificed to protect the Ancient Citadel during the historic 81-day and night war in 1972.
