Delegation of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor works with the Standing Committee of the Provincial Confederation of Labor

In recent times, trade unions at all levels in the province have tried, made efforts, proactively advised Party committees and coordinated with authorities at the same level to promote the work of developing trade unions, consolidating the organization and apparatus to become increasingly strong. Currently, the Provincial Federation of Labor manages 715 grassroots trade unions, with 36,923 trade union members/38,715 workers, civil servants and employees; of which, the state administrative and career sector has 19,197 trade union members; state-owned enterprises have 517 trade union members; non-state enterprises have 17,116 trade union members; and trade unions have 93 trade union members. In the past 7 months, the whole province has developed 2,013 new trade union members, reaching 48% of the yearly plan.

At the meeting, delegates contributed opinions, evaluated and analyzed the achieved results, difficulties, obstacles, limitations and proposed solutions to improve the effectiveness of union development work, establish grassroots unions, and strengthen local trade union organizations.

Comrade Lam Dong, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee spoke at the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee acknowledged the attention and support of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for the provincial trade union organization; highly appreciated the efforts of trade unions at all levels in building and consolidating the organization, improving the quality of activities, and making important contributions to the socio-economic development of the province. To meet the requirements of development and integration, trade unions need to further promote their responsibilities and roles, focus on implementing solutions to successfully complete assigned political tasks, especially building and consolidating a truly strong organization. He noted that the trade union organization should focus on a number of important tasks: Continue to advise the Provincial Party Committee to effectively implement Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo on innovating the organization and operation of the Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation; Advise the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to summarize 5 years of implementing Directive 33-CT/TW dated March 18, 2019 of the Secretariat on strengthening the building of Party organizations in private economic units. Evaluate and review the targets for developing Party units, developing trade unions and proposing appropriate solutions, tasks and targets to meet practical requirements...

Comrade Huynh Thanh Xuan, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, spoke at the working session with the Standing Committee of the Provincial Confederation of Labor.

Concluding the working session, the Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor highly appreciated the attention of the Provincial Party Committee and authorities at all levels in the leadership, direction, coordination and the efforts and striving of the local trade union to continuously improve the quality of activities, especially in the work of developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions, and building strong organizations. This is one of the core and central tasks of the trade union organization. He suggested that the Provincial Confederation of Labor actively and proactively monitor and review the situation of labor and enterprises, especially the non-state sector, to propose appropriate solutions to achieve and exceed the tasks and targets assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Coordinate with local Party Committees and authorities in leading and directing the organization of trade union activities. Regularly train and improve the capacity of trade union officials and trade union officials at enterprises, especially in the work of gathering, mobilizing and propagating workers to participate in trade union organizations. I hope that the Provincial Party Committee will continue to pay attention to leadership, direct closely and promptly, create all favorable conditions to help the trade union organization improve the quality of its activities, and develop and become stronger.
