Continuing the morning session on November 22, the National Assembly listened to Secretary General of the National Assembly and Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong, on behalf of the National Assembly Standing Committee, present a Report on adjusting the Program of the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly.
Based on the opinions of National Assembly deputies discussed at the meeting on November 3 and agencies, on November 16, at the meeting between the two sessions of the 6th Session, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave unified opinions on many contents to absorb and revise the draft Land Law (amended).
Because the draft Law still has some major policy contents that need further research to design optimal plans and policies, the comprehensive review and completion of the draft Law needs more time to ensure the constitutionality, legality and consistency of the draft Law with the legal system.
“This is a particularly important Law project, greatly affecting socio-economic activities and people's lives. Therefore, after reaching an agreement with the Government, the National Assembly Standing Committee reports to the National Assembly for permission to adjust the time for passing the Land Law project (amended) from this session to the nearest session of the National Assembly to continue studying, absorbing, revising, reviewing reserves and perfecting the draft Law, ensuring the best quality before submitting it to the National Assembly for approval,” Mr. Bui Van Cuong emphasized.
As a result, 91.70% of delegates participating in the vote approved the adjustment of the program of the 6th Session.
