Forum "Listening to the voices of the poor" associated with the Launching Ceremony of supporting the "For the Poor" Fund in 2023

On October 17, the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee jointly organized the Forum "Listening to the voices of the poor" in conjunction with the Launching Ceremony to support the "For the Poor" Fund in 2023.

Comrades: Pham Van Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Van Binh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Chau Thi Thanh Ha, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Phan Rang - Thap Cham City Party Committee and leaders of departments, branches, sectors, the Front, mass organizations and localities attended the ceremony.

At the ceremony, the Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee read the Appeal Letter and launched support for the "For the Poor" Fund in 2023.

On behalf of the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front and people in the province, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee respectfully acknowledges and sincerely thanks the precious sentiments, noble hearts, companionship and sharing of businesses, entrepreneurs, philanthropists and people inside and outside the province in the past time who have supported the province's "For the Poor" Fund to help the poor with housing, capital, means of production, health insurance costs, gifts, scholarships...

Thereby, contributing practically to social security work, effectively implementing national target programs in the province and successfully achieving the goal of sustainable poverty reduction according to the Resolution of the 14th Provincial Party Congress.

Provincial leaders presented flowers and acknowledged the golden hearts of units and businesses supporting the "For the Poor" Fund in 2023.

However, due to many reasons, the rate of poor and near-poor households in the province is still quite high compared to the national average; the whole province has more than 1,600 households facing housing difficulties; many poor, near-poor households, and disadvantaged families need the sympathy and sharing of the community. In order to continue to effectively implement the national target program on sustainable poverty reduction in the province, along with the efforts of the locality in directing, organizing and implementing social security policies fully and promptly, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes to continue to receive support from agencies, organizations, businesses, entrepreneurs, and philanthropists inside and outside the province to join hands to support and help the poor to stabilize their lives, especially during the upcoming traditional New Year of the nation.

Responding to the call of the Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the speech of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, provincial leaders, delegates participating in the program and businesses participated in supporting and registering to support the "For the Poor" Fund in 2023 with an amount of more than 220 million VND.

Participating in the forum “Listening to the voices of the poor”, provincial leaders, leaders of departments, branches and localities listened to and answered the opinions, thoughts and aspirations of the poor to have more practical and effective support and assistance solutions in the coming time. At the forum, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee personally sponsored and helped a 7th grade student from a poor household with congenital heart disease in Phan Rang - Thap Cham City until grade 12 and university.

On this occasion, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee launched the Program to build 300 solidarity houses to welcome the 11th Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress, term 2024-2029. Comrades: Pham Van Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Van Binh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee presented gifts to 15 poor households, awarded scholarships to 15 poor students; presented flowers, presented plaques of recognition for the golden hearts of collectives, individuals, businesses, entrepreneurs, and philanthropists inside and outside the province supporting the "For the Poor" Fund in 2023.
