In the first 6 months of the year, the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at all levels in Dien Bien province and its member organizations were carried out according to plan, focusing on implementing and organizing the implementation of tasks, achieving many positive results. Propaganda and mobilization work was carried out in many flexible forms, promptly bringing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies and the local political tasks to all classes of people.
The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien province has advised the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to issue documents on guidelines and implementation of the organization of the Congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels and the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Dien Bien province, term 2024 - 2029; towards the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024 - 2029. According to the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien province:
The commune-level congresses held from January 21 to April 28, 2024 were successful with 129 communes (100% participation rate), ensuring standards, quantity, structure and composition. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the commune level consulted and elected 388 members, including: 120 Chairmen, 147 Vice Chairmen, and 121 Standing Committee members.
Next, the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at the district level also took place from May 15 to June 28, 2024; The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien province chose Muong Cha district as the place to hold the model Congress at the district level to gain experience. The district-level Congress also consulted to elect 533 members, ensuring that the combined structures are not lower than the previous term. The members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the district level for the 2024-2029 term all ensure the standards, quantity and correct structure and composition according to regulations. At the first conference, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the district, town and city levels for the 2024-2029 term consulted to elect 31 members to participate in the new Standing Committee, including: 10 Chairmen, 10 Vice Chairmen, and 11 Standing Committee members.
The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien province said that with the theme: "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development", the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Dien Bien province, term 2024 - 2029 will take place from 13:45 - 17:30 on August 21, 2024 (first session) and from 7:15 - 11:30 on August 22, 2024 (second session) at the Provincial Cultural Conference Center with the participation of 353 delegates. Notably, there is delegate Lo Thi Quynh, a representative of the Kho Mu ethnic group, the youngest delegate (24 years and 11 months/born in September 1999), Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Na Sang commune, Muong Cha district.
