Hanoi Law University (HLU) announced admission scores based on high school transcripts from 22.53 to 30.3, including priority and incentive points.
The Economic Law major has the highest standard score, according to the announcement on May 26 by Hanoi Law University. Accordingly, candidates applying for admission with the A01 combination (Math, Physics, English) must achieve 30.3 points to be admitted. Other combinations of this major all have scores above 29.
Other majors trained at the main campus in Hanoi have the lowest standard score of 27.61. The Law major trained at the Dak Lak branch has a standard score of 22.43 to 23.8, depending on the combination.
This level is the average score of 5 semesters (excluding semester II of grade 12) of three subjects in the admission group, plus priority and incentive points. In which, the priority points according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, maximum 2.75. In addition, candidates will be given 0.5-1.5 incentive points if they win the excellent student award and are students of specialized high schools.
Candidates registering to study at the school's main campus in Hanoi must have excellent academic performance or higher in all semesters, and have a grade 12 first semester score of each subject in the group of 7.5 or higher.
If applying at the school's branch in Dak Lak, candidates need to have good academic performance for at least two semesters and a grade 12 first semester score of 7 or higher in three subjects.
For the Law program in conjunction with the University of Arizona, USA, the benchmark score is 9, calculated by converting the international English certificate score and priority points. However, candidates with IELTS 5.5 or higher are counted as 9 points, equal to the benchmark score for admission to this program.
In 2023, Hanoi Law University will enroll 2,500 students. In addition to considering academic records and foreign language certificates, the school also considers direct admission; considers candidates participating in monthly, quarterly, and annual rounds of the Road to Olympia; and considers based on high school graduation exam scores.
Last year, the admission score according to the graduation exam scores ranged from 19 to 29.5. The Economic Law major, group C00, had the highest score. The Law major at Dak Lak Branch had the lowest admission score of 19 with groups A00 and A01.
