The content of the document clearly states: The continued operation of E190 aircraft exceeding the pavement classification index (PCN), with a frequency not exceeding 5% of the total number of flights at Ca Mau Airport, has been agreed by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam in Official Dispatch No. 5495/CHK-QLC dated October 5. Thus, up to now, the conditions have been ensured for Tre Viet Aviation Joint Stock Company to complete the procedures and processes to resume the operation of the Hanoi - Ca Mau - Hanoi route.
In addition, on October 10, at the 11th Session (Special Session), the People's Council of Ca Mau province passed a Resolution promulgating a policy to support airlines operating flights to Ca Mau province; the People's Committee of Ca Mau province will implement the support policy in the coming time.
According to the provincial dispatch, the exploitation of the Hanoi - Ca Mau - Hanoi flight route is very important to the locality, helping to shorten the distance between Ca Mau and other regions in the country; contributing significantly to promoting the economic, cultural, social and tourism development of the locality and receiving great attention from people across the country. At the same time, in order to ensure proactive and timely coordination in promoting and launching the flight route, the People's Committee of Ca Mau province requested that Tre Viet Aviation Joint Stock Company have a plan to exploit and implement the licensing process for E190 aircraft and related procedures to reopen this flight route as soon as possible.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested Ca Mau Airport to be proactive in coordination and ensure conditions for Tre Viet Aviation Joint Stock Company to operate the flight route.
Previously, on October 10, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Council signed and issued Resolution No. 17/2023/NQ-HDND on policies to support airlines operating flights to Ca Mau province.
Support conditions: Airlines operating the route must reduce the load; the total number of flights to and from Ca Mau Airport must be at least 6 flights/week; the minimum operating time is 1 year.
Support level: Support for flight maintenance costs equal to 10% of the total number of passenger seats of each aircraft type, based on each actual flight.
Ticket price to calculate support level is 3 million VND/seat for flights with distance over 1,000km; ticket price to calculate support level is 2 million VND/seat for flights with distance from 500km to 1,000km; ticket price to calculate support level is 1.5 million VND/seat for flights with distance under 500km.
The policy to support airlines operating flights to Ca Mau province has been applied since November 1.
