Promoting propaganda for the Congress of Ethnic Minorities in Thanh Hoa Province

The 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities in Thanh Hoa Province is expected to be held in the fourth quarter of 2024 at Conference Center 25B (Thanh Hoa City) with 249 official delegates attending the congress.

On the afternoon of October 3, the Steering Committee of the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities in Thanh Hoa Province in 2024 held a conference to deploy a number of propaganda and celebration tasks, ready for the festival of ethnic minorities in Thanh Hoa Province. Comrade Pham Van Tuan, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Head of the Propaganda and Celebration Subcommittee, Steering Committee of the Provincial Congress of Ethnic Minorities chaired the conference. Also attending the conference were representatives of provincial departments and branches who are members of the Propaganda and Celebration Subcommittee, the Congress Steering Committee.

The 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities in Thanh Hoa Province is of great significance in continuing to affirm the Party and State's attention to ethnic minority and mountainous areas; recognizing the great contributions of ethnic minorities in the work of hunger eradication and poverty reduction, new rural construction, infrastructure development, and implementation of ethnic policies. Honoring, praising and rewarding outstanding collectives and individuals among ethnic minorities in the cause of building, integrating, developing and defending the country in the period of 2019 - 2024; practically welcoming the Party Congresses at all levels for the term 2025 - 2030. Evaluating achievements and results of ethnic work, ethnic policies, infrastructure development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction, and new rural construction in the period of 2019 - 2024.

Recently, based on Plan No. 235/KH-UBND, dated September 28, 2023 of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province on organizing the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities at all levels in Thanh Hoa province in 2024; carrying out the assigned tasks according to Decision No. 4546/QD-BCĐ, dated December 1, 2023 of the Steering Committee of the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities on establishing sub-committees to organize the Congress, the Propaganda and Celebration Sub-committee has deployed the organization and implementation of many tasks. In particular, Plan No. 01/KH-TBTTKT, dated March 8, 2024, was issued to guide districts in carrying out propaganda work for district-level congresses and develop a master plan for propaganda of the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities at all levels in Thanh Hoa province in 2024. Propaganda and celebration work contributed to the success of the district-level congress.

Representatives of the Provincial Ethnic Committee and members of the Propaganda and Celebration subcommittee reported on the progress of preparations for the congress.

Accordingly, from April 23, 2024 to June 29, 2023, 13/13 districts have completed the district-level Congress, with 1,611 official delegates summoned to participate. 4 districts and towns: Yen Dinh, Vinh Loc, Ha Trung and Nghi Son town that did not organize the Congress have completed the selection of delegates to participate in the provincial Congress. The Congress at the district level was organized solemnly, practically, economically, ensuring the purpose and requirements. Through the organization of the Congress, it attracted the attention and participation of a large number of people, creating an exciting, enthusiastic atmosphere, and the consensus and support of ethnic minorities in the mountainous areas of the province. After the district-level Congress, the total number of official delegates selected to attend the provincial congress of 17 districts and towns was 183 delegates (118 men, 65 women).

The 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities in Thanh Hoa Province is expected to be held in the fourth quarter of 2024 at the 25B Conference Center (Thanh Hoa City) with 249 official delegates attending the congress. The opening session of the congress will be broadcast live on the provincial Radio and Television Station.

To contribute to the success of the provincial congress, the Propaganda and Celebration Subcommittee directed its members to help develop detailed plans and actively carry out tasks assigned by the steering committee.

Comrade Ngo Quang Tu, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Hoa Newspaper, member of the Propaganda - Celebration Subcommittee spoke at the conference.

At the conference, delegates who are members of the Propaganda and Celebration Subcommittee exchanged and discussed the contents and assigned tasks related to the tasks of the agencies and units.

Comrade Le Van Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications, member of the Propaganda and Celebration Subcommittee, spoke at the conference.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Pham Van Tuan, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, acknowledged and highly appreciated the active participation of members and the support of the Propaganda - Celebration Subcommittee, contributing to the success of the district-level congress, towards the provincial-level congress.

To contribute to the success of the provincial congress, Mr. Pham Van Tuan, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Education Department, Head of the Propaganda and Celebration Subcommittee, requested that the subcommittee's member agencies and units actively carry out the assigned tasks. In particular, the Ethnic Committee continues to promote propaganda coordination with central and provincial press agencies; presides over coordination with relevant units to complete the visual perspective of the celebration decoration; coordinates with units such as the Provincial Border Guard Command, Provincial Police, Provincial Youth Union, Hong Duc University, and the Provincial Boarding Ethnic High School to send soldiers, union members, students to attend the exchange program and meet with advanced models.

Press agencies stepped up propaganda work, in which the Provincial Radio and Television Station took the lead in coordinating with the Ethnic Committee and relevant units and individuals to complete the script, organize exchange programs, meet and support typical examples; develop a script to organize live radio and television broadcasts of the solemn and effective opening session of the provincial congress.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinates with the Ethnic Committee and other agencies and units to carry out the decoration work at the congress; directly instructs Lam Son Song and Dance Theater to develop the script for the art program to welcome the congress, organize rehearsals for quality art performances to perform for the congress.

Relevant provincial departments, branches, sectors and organizations, based on their assigned functions and tasks, continue to coordinate with the Provincial Ethnic Committee and relevant agencies and units to implement related contents, contributing to the successful organization of the congress. Strengthen propaganda work about the congress for cadres, civil servants, employees in provincial and district agencies and units and people in the province, contributing to spreading the meaning of the festival among ethnic minorities in Thanh Hoa province.

Based on the proposals and recommendations of the members, the Propaganda and Celebration Subcommittee will report to the Congress Steering Committee to unify the implementation of tasks, ready for the great festival of ethnic minorities in Thanh Hoa province.
