When visiting Linh Son commune (Anh Son), asking about Mrs. Nguyen Thi Binh's family in village 6, everyone knows her because of her family's contributions to the homeland. Mrs. Nguyen Thi Binh (born in 1942) is 82 years old this year. Despite her old age and poor health, when the locality launched emulation movements, she always took the lead and responded positively. In particular, at the end of 2022, seeing that the local road through the field to her family's path was narrow, and every rainy season, the water rose and flooded the road, causing it to sink, making it very difficult for her family and people to travel. She mobilized her children and grandchildren in the family to join hands to contribute to making the road clean, beautiful and airy.
Mrs. Binh shared: Her last wish in life was finally fulfilled by her children and grandchildren. Her family contributed more than 240 million VND to build a stone embankment on both sides of the road and pour concrete on the road surface with a length of 200m, 6m wide, 18cm thick. When the road was completed, not only her family but also the people of village 6, Linh Son commune were excited, contributing to building Linh Son commune to be more and more "Green, clean, beautiful, bright, friendly".
Not only Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh in Linh Son commune, but also in Cao Son commune, a remote commune of Anh Son district, there are many outstanding individuals who have taken the lead in contributing and supporting the construction of rural roads. With typical examples in the road construction movement, Cao Son commune has become a bright spot, a highlight of Anh Son district. This is the condition for Cao Son commune to complete the criteria, striving to reach the new rural destination by the end of 2023.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thai - Deputy Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Anh Son district said: Determining the construction of rural transport infrastructure as a lever for the socio-economic development of each locality, as one of the important criteria in the new rural construction program, Anh Son district has mobilized the entire political system to participate. The mechanism of the Party's leadership, the government's management and operation, the Fatherland Front and people's organizations unite, gather, propagate, and mobilize union members to implement. From there, the strength of the entire people has been mobilized, with the motto "The State and the People work together", by contributing working days, donating land and assets on land to the movement.
In 2022, by integrating programs, projects, cement support from the Provincial People's Committee, support policies from the district and mobilizing people's contributions, the entire district has asphalted, concreted and hardened more than 98 km of commune and inter-commune roads, village roads and alleys, with a total cost of 153.92 billion VND.
In particular, people in the whole Anh Son district contributed more than 42 billion VND to build roads, donated 80,140m2 of land and 133,477 working days. Notably, in 2022, the People's Committee of Anh Son district supported money to build rural roads for localities to build grade C roads, with a total length of over 6 km (100 million VND/km) in the communes: Thach Son (1,002m); Tuong Son (926m), Lang Son (945m), Khai Son (910m), Cao Son (1,647m) and Tao Son (570m).
