On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2025), director Pham Vinh Khuong released the MV White Shirt After a White Night using AI technology, marking a breakthrough in the application of artificial intelligence in the field of cinema.

This MV also helps the audience understand more about the secret feelings of those wearing white coats.

In addition, AI technology also brings a new and unique perspective, helping to vividly recreate stories of the medical industry.

Director Pham Vinh Khuong said the idea for the MV came from real stories he heard and witnessed from friends working in the medical field.

"This film is not only a tribute, but also helps the audience understand more about the hard work of doctors and nurses. AI technology will help recreate those stories in the most realistic and vivid way," he shared.

The special highlight of White Shirt After White Night is that the entire production process, from images to music, is done entirely by AI.

All stages from visual effects, scene reconstruction, 3D effects (lifelike images created with graphics software) to post-production are supported by AI, bringing a new, creative and technological cinematic experience.

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Pham Vinh Khuong said that the most difficult thing when making the MV is the movement of the characters and the logic in the environment and context. Because if making a fantasy or science fiction film, there may be mistakes.

"But when creating industry-specific content, it must be accurate, otherwise, industry experts will immediately detect shortcomings. To make the MV, I consulted medical experts during the content development process.

At the same time, the technical team also developed specialized software to help AI process data more effectively, bringing realistic and profound images and content," Vinh Khuong shared.

When asked if he was afraid of copyright issues when making music videos using AI technology, the director said: "When making music using AI, 100% of the music and images are created by technology. I also used GPT chat (artificial intelligence that helps create automatic conversations and answer questions on many different topics and fields) to create the lyrics in the MV."

The male director believes that current artificial intelligence tools can support artists in the process of making films and music videos, from scripts, sound, to post-production.

So, he took advantage of these tools to optimize the workflow, helping to minimize costs and time in production while still maintaining quality and image.

"From creating scenarios, AI can analyze millions of data to come up with suggestions and story structures. This not only saves time but also creates richer and more creative scenarios," Vinh Khuong confided.

The MV "White Shirt After a White Night" is also considered a stepping stone for the film project of the same name, scheduled to be released on February 27, 2026.

In particular, to spread the meaningful message, the director decided not to copyright the images and sounds, allowing doctors and audiences to use them for free for propaganda purposes.
