In the beautiful and majestic natural picture of Quan Son border district, Trung Tien commune is a fresh and emotional highlight. Here, there are lush mountains lying on both banks of the Lo River, which brings water from upstream to the sea all year round. There are also fertile terraced fields, embracing the pristine Thai villages hidden under the rows of green giant trees.

In particular, Trung Tien also owns a "complex" of majestic waterfalls like silk ribbons falling from the sky, creating a liberal, attractive atmosphere for tourists who love to explore. There are 3 waterfalls here, including: Ba waterfall, An Ma 1 waterfall, An Ma 2 waterfall. Each waterfall has its own unique and attractive beauty, divided into layers, water pouring from the top of the high mountain, looking from afar like a white veil across the mossy rocks. Before the water flows into the Lo River to the sea, it has time to leave a few cool bathing pools suspended halfway up the mountain. In those infinity pools, the locals still enjoy bathing in the cool water on hot summer days.

Witnessing Ba waterfall hidden deep in the forest of Ban De, we were able to enjoy the beautiful natural scenery of the border region. From Provincial Road 530C connecting National Highway 217 with National Highway 15C, there is a newly opened road following a stream not far away, and we could see the majestic waterfall pouring water. Standing at the foot of the waterfall, we could not see the top, only hear the roar of the water washing over the rocks, then pouring down into the deep valley. The higher we went, the clearer the waterfall appeared, shaped like stone steps, hidden in the shade of the forest trees. At every level, nature created deep pools, with clear water that never dries up in all four seasons. And for each villager of Ban De, the waterfall is attached to their flesh and blood, an indispensable part of them. So without anyone telling anyone, the people of Ban De protect the waterfall with practical actions.

Mr. Lo Van Tem (62 years old), a native of De village, said: “The waterfall is an indispensable part of the villagers’ lives. We, the villagers, encourage each other to clear the vines and bushes around the waterfall and not throw trash and dirty things into the waterfall. Therefore, the water flowing down from the waterfall is very clean, and we still get water for our daily needs.”

Meanwhile, the traffic connection in Trung Tien is considered quite favorable. Because the commune is located along National Highway 217, convenient for going to Na Meo International Border Gate, the area with Bo Cung Cave and many famous places in Quan Son district. It is also convenient for going to Quan Hoa district via Provincial Highway 530C to Pu Luong, where thousands of international tourists come to visit every year. In addition to the natural scenery, Trung Tien also has great potential in its solid and spacious stilt houses and bamboo dances, xoe dances...

Realizing the available tourism potential, from 2021 up to now, the Trung Tien Commune Party Committee has proposed a policy of developing community tourism, aiming to continuously improve and enhance the material and spiritual life of the people. The construction of the destination "brand" began with propaganda, raising awareness and pride in the homeland among cadres, party members and people. Not long after that, people in the commune contributed working days to build roads around the waterfall. Constructions to ensure safety for bathers were also built with environmentally friendly materials available in the forest. A few bungalow-style huts have been installed... to serve the needs of tourists in the area. Trung Tien people are also excited to promote the unique natural landscape of their homeland to friends near and far.

Not far from Ba waterfall, right in the center of Tong village, in the sports ground, cultural, artistic and culinary exchanges between villages in the commune, outside the district and Quan Hoa and Ba Thuoc districts have taken place. In all 7 villages and 1 sub-district of the commune, cultural and artistic teams have been established, regularly practicing and ready to perform to serve the needs of tourists.

And initial success has come. Destinations in the commune have attracted a large number of tourists from inside and outside the district to visit during the summer. Many of them have shared positively after their unforgettable experiences at the destination. As Ms. Le Ha Minh Anh (40 years old) in Thanh Hoa City, said: “From the introduction of a friend, my family went to Ba waterfall to visit and cool off. We were very impressed with the trip, especially the children were extremely excited to immerse themselves in the pristine nature and enjoy many special dishes of the highlands”.

In particular, to shape the space for tourism development in the future, Trung Tien commune has established and approved a plan for community tourism development, and at the same time carried out promotion and investment attraction activities. And recently, HDG Group Joint Stock Company headquartered in Hanoi has researched, surveyed and established a detailed plan for the Eco-tourism, Resort and Nature Conservation Area in Cum village with an area of ​​over 300 hectares. If approved, the enterprise plans to invest in 19 construction items to serve tourism development with a scale of welcoming about 6,000 visitors per day...

Mr. Mac Van Toi, Chairman of Trung Tien Commune People's Committee, said: In the coming time, the commune will continue to do a good job of promoting and calling for potential businesses to explore opportunities and cooperate in investing in tourism development in the area. At the same time, it will take advantage of State investment capital to complete grassroots cultural institutions, train knowledge and skills in community tourism for people. Through that, it aims to continue developing the socio-economy, improving and enhancing the material and spiritual life of the people.
