On the afternoon of December 6, in Ha Long City, General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Minister of Public Security, had a working session with the Quang Ninh Provincial Public Security. Attending the meeting were comrade Vu Dai Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; provincial leaders; the Board of Directors of the Provincial Public Security; and heads of public security units and localities.
In recent times, with the attention, leadership and direction of the Central Public Security Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee; the coordination and support of departments, branches, localities and the people, the Quang Ninh Public Security force has united, unified, and excellently completed its targets and tasks, maintained political and social stability, created a safe and favorable environment, served the socio-economic development goals of the province, and contributed to building Quang Ninh as "one of the leading provinces in the innovation of the Northern Delta, a growth pole of the Northern region".
To successfully complete the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress, the Resolution of the 15th Quang Ninh Provincial Party Congress and the Resolution of the Provincial Police Party Congress; the Director of the Provincial Police emphasized that the provincial police force must concentrate all forces, synchronously use professional measures to do a good job of ensuring security and order; reduce crime and control traffic accidents; strongly attack drug-related crimes, determined to clean up the area, complete the target of building communes, wards, towns and districts free of drugs; continue to effectively implement Project 06 of the Government, serving the national digital transformation; effectively carry out the work of Party building, building the Quang Ninh Provincial Police force to be truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite and modern to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation, contributing to the development of the local economy, society, national defense and security.
Regarding the 2024 Asian Police Taekwondo Open Championship hosted by the Ministry of Public Security and co-organized by the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province, the Provincial Police mobilized more than 300 officers and soldiers, with the support of professional units of the Ministry of Public Security and the coordination of functional units in the province to maintain security and order, organize traffic flow to prevent traffic congestion and have plans for fire prevention and rescue at the competition venues.
Speaking at the working session, General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Minister of Public Security, acknowledged and highly appreciated the results that Quang Ninh Public Security has achieved in ensuring security and order in 2024, national security is maintained, social order and safety are ensured, all aspects of work have positive changes, all work has achieved high results.
The Minister noted that in 2025, in the spirit of a new era, the era of national development, the Quang Ninh Provincial Police need to unify their awareness of the challenges of security and order in the province to proactively take preventive measures. The police work must serve socio-economic development, in which the important goal is to sustainably reduce crime. The work of ensuring security and order in Quang Ninh places very high and comprehensive requirements on leadership, command and organization of force arrangement, implementation measures, especially the role of the heads of the police at all levels, the proactiveness, responsibility, and sensitivity of officers and soldiers in implementing preventive, deterrent, and combative solutions in police work.
The Minister also requested that Quang Ninh Police must truly be exemplary in taking the lead in implementing the Party's policies on ensuring security and order in the spirit of development and innovation. Development must be taken as the foundation for protecting security and order. To do that, Quang Ninh Police must focus on advising the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and must coordinate with departments, branches and sectors to effectively implement the Party's resolutions, focusing on Resolution 44 on the National Defense Strategy, including policies on economic, cultural and social development, ensuring social security, ensuring that all people enjoy the fruits of innovation and development, live happily in a secure and safe environment, and leave no one behind.
Before the time of preparing for Party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress, this is a very important task that must be focused on. Potential and complicated problems must be proactively detected and handled right at the grassroots level. Take the lead in implementing Project 06, digital transformation, and changing the working environment from traditional to electronic.
Entering 2025 in the spirit of innovation, the Minister of Public Security believes that with the determination of each officer and the Party Committee and Board of Directors, Quang Ninh Provincial Police will strive to be at the forefront in all areas of Public Security work and excellently complete all assigned tasks.
Also during the working session, the Minister of Public Security visited the Command Center of the Security, Health and Traffic Subcommittee of the 2024 Asian Police Taekwondo Open Tournament located at Headquarters 3 of the Provincial Police.
