Hanoi National University cooperates in training and fostering medical human resources for the police force

(NLDO) - People's Public Security University of Engineering and Logistics cooperates with University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in training human resources.

On November 11, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) and the Ministry of Public Security had a working session on cooperation in training and fostering medical human resources for the people's police force.

Minister Luong Tam Quang presented flowers to congratulate VNU President Le Quan, Vice Presidents and leaders of VNU units on the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day.

General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security, and Prof. Dr. Le Quan, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Council, President of VNU, co-chaired the meeting.

Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized that in recent years, together with agencies, ministries, departments and branches, VNU has paid attention to and regularly coordinated with the Ministry of Public Security in all aspects of work, especially in education, training, science, technology and international cooperation.

This coordination has been specified by the parties in the Coordination Regulation No. 03 dated March 7, 2023 between the Ministry of Public Security and VNU on ensuring security and order in education, training, science, technology and international cooperation activities. In addition, the two sides have agreed on many important contents, including coordination in personnel work; training, fostering, coaching, and professional training; digital transformation, information security and safety.

Professor, Doctor, People's Physician Le Ngoc Thanh, Principal of University of Medicine and Pharmacy, spoke at the meeting.

At the meeting, the two sides agreed on the policy for the People's Public Security University of Engineering and Logistics to cooperate with the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, VNU in training human resources, expected to include regular university enrollment, joint training and organizing annual foreign emergency training classes for the combat forces of the Ministry of Public Security...

VNU Director Le Quan shared that VNU is a leading university training center in Vietnam in most fields of science and technology, including Medicine. Recently, VNU put into operation the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital in Linh Dam, which plays a role in developing the health sciences sector and is also a practice facility for medical and pharmaceutical students...

Mr. Le Quan said that the cooperation between VNU and the Ministry of Public Security in training and fostering medical human resources for the people's public security force, including training foreign emergency personnel, demonstrates the strategic vision of the leaders, as well as the social responsibility of the parties. The President of VNU also expressed his belief that VNU and the Ministry of Public Security will continue to improve the effectiveness of their coordination to successfully complete the political tasks entrusted to them by the Party, State and people.

Prof. Dr. Le Ngoc Thanh, Rector of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, affirmed the importance of out-of-hospital emergency care and said that in order for out-of-hospital emergency care to continue to better meet the needs of society, it is necessary to quickly train and build a large and diverse out-of-hospital emergency care force such as citizens, police, fire police, drivers, out-of-hospital emergency care technicians, etc. to create a widespread multi-layered out-of-hospital emergency care system. Developing a model for teaching out-of-hospital emergency care practice and pre-clinical simulation is extremely necessary. This is a requirement not only for scientists and professional practice units but also for the entire VNU, society and the country, including the People's Public Security force.

Also at the meeting, under the witness of Minister Luong Tam Quang and Director of VNU Le Quan, representatives of the leaders of the University of Engineering - Logistics of the People's Public Security and the University of Medicine and Pharmacy signed the Coordination Regulations with the content of evaluating the results of cooperation every 3 years.
