On the delegation side, there were Mr. Guido Hildner - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Vietnam; Comrade Don Tuan Phong - Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly, Chairman of the Vietnam - Germany Friendship Parliamentarians' Group; and other members of the delegation.

Accompanying the delegation, on the side of Nghe An province were comrades: Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Tran Nhat Minh - Full-time National Assembly Delegate of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; leaders of departments, branches and sectors.

At the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site (Nam Dan), in a sacred atmosphere, Mr. Guido Hildner - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Vietnam and the delegation offered flowers and incense in memory, expressing deep respect for President Ho Chi Minh - the great leader of the Party and People of Vietnam.

President Ho Chi Minh devoted his whole life to the cause of national liberation of the Vietnamese people, tirelessly striving for peace and progress in the world. President Ho Chi Minh was honored by UNESCO as a national liberation hero and an outstanding cultural figure.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Vietnam and the Vietnam - Germany Friendship Parliamentarians Group also visited President Ho Chi Minh's paternal hometown and listened to tour guides introduce President Ho Chi Minh's hometown, family, childhood, life and career.

Next, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Vietnam and the Vietnam - Germany Friendship Parliamentary Group visited VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park.

After nearly 9 years of establishment, VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park has attracted 44 investors with 46 projects covering a total area of ​​243ha/250.63ha of land, with an occupancy rate of 97%. Currently, 45 projects have been granted investment certificates with a total investment capital of 1.3 billion USD; of which 1.203 billion USD is FDI capital.

The total number of employees expected in the industrial park is 65,000 people and currently 29 investors have come into operation, employing more than 16,000 local workers. In 2023, the export value of the industrial park will reach 12,231 billion VND. Currently, 6 investors are building factories, expected to be completed and put into operation in the second quarter of 2024.

Vietnam and Germany established diplomatic relations in 1975. The two countries upgraded their relationship to a Strategic Partnership in 2011. Since 2020, Vietnam has been classified as a "Global Partner" in Germany's Development Cooperation Strategy to 2030.

In 2023, two-way trade turnover will reach over 11 billion USD. Germany is Vietnam's largest trading partner in Europe. There are currently over 350 German enterprises operating in Vietnam. As of May 2023, Germany has 444 valid projects with a total registered investment capital of over 2.36 billion USD, ranking 18th out of 143 countries and territories investing in Vietnam.
