On June 10, the Vietnam Youth Union (VYU) of Quang Xuong district held the 5th Congress of the YU for the 2024-2029 term.

Attending and directing the Congress were comrade Le Van Chau, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union; representatives of the leaders of Quang Xuong district and its twinned units and localities, and 120 delegates representing the youth force in the district.

Currently, Quang Xuong district has 51,600 young people, accounting for 25.46% of the population and more than 29% of the district's labor force. Of which, the number of young people regularly present in the locality is about 19,587 people, gathered in 31 grassroots organizations with 188 residential branches and 135 school branches. The number of young people gathered in youth organizations and associations is 15,360 people. The rate of gathering and uniting young people is 78.42% (exceeding 0.42% of the target set out in the Resolution).

During the 2019-2024 term, the work of the Association and the youth movement of Quang Xuong district has achieved important results in all areas of work. The movements "I love my Fatherland" have been implemented synchronously and effectively, bringing about many outstanding results, attracting a large number of members and young people to participate, especially the Quang Xuong Youth Volunteer Movement for the community with more than 25,000 volunteer activities, attracting over 250,000 youth members to participate, mobilizing nearly 7 billion VND to implement nearly 400 "Skillful Mass Mobilization" models undertaken by young people.

The programs “Accompanying young people to establish their careers”, “Building a strong Vietnam Youth Union”, “Building the Union organization, consolidating and improving the quality of collective member organizations of the Vietnam Youth Union” have been concretized and implemented by the Union at all levels with many practical and flexible contents, with development in scale and quality. The quality of the Union's grassroots organization, the quality of its members and the rate of youth solidarity are constantly improving.
The work of building, consolidating and improving the quality of the Vietnam Youth Union continues to develop. The methods and forms of organizing the activities of the Union are always innovated to suit the development trends of the youth.
With the results achieved during the term, every year, the Vietnam Youth Union of Quang Xuong district is always awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union and the Secretariat of the Provincial Youth Union for its outstanding achievements in the work of the Union and the youth movement; recognized and highly appreciated by the Party Committee and authorities from the district to the grassroots level.

With the slogan of action "Quang Xuong Youth, Solidarity - Courage - Creativity - Integration - Development", in the 2024-2029 term, the Quang Xuong District Youth Union focuses on building a new generation of youth with revolutionary ideals, strong political will; with ethics and a healthy cultural lifestyle. Building and consolidating the Association to be truly strong in terms of ideology, politics, organization and action; always worthy of being a reliable reserve force of the Party Committee. Innovating the content and methods of education of the Association, consolidating and improving the quality of activities through diversifying forms of gathering young people.

The Congress consulted and elected 27 members to the Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union of Quang Xuong district, term V, 2024-2029; consulted for the position of President of the Association. Accordingly, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Anh, Secretary of the District Youth Union, was re-elected as President of the Vietnam Youth Union of Quang Xuong district, term V, 2024-2029.
The Vietnam Youth Union Committee of Quang Xuong district, term V, 2024-2029, was introduced to the congress.
The congress also consulted to elect a delegation to attend the higher-level congress, including 11 official delegates and 3 alternate delegates.
