99% completion of the General Secretary Le Duan Memorial Site

Today, April 2, information from the Quang Tri Province Construction Investment Project Management Board said that the unit is actively coordinating with construction units and contractors to urgently speed up the progress of the General Secretary Le Duan Memorial Site under the Project "Preserving, restoring and upgrading key revolutionary historical relics of Quang Tri Province".

“During the project implementation, we have directed contractors to work overtime, increase shifts, and increase human resources to complete the project as soon as possible. Up to now, the project has basically completed 99% of the progress,” said Truong Huu Hieu, Deputy Director of the Quang Tri Province Investment and Construction Project Management Board.

It is known that the project will be implemented from 2022 with a total investment of 45 billion VND from the central budget support.

Main investment items include: Preservation, renovation, and restoration of the memorial house. Upgrading the exhibition house block into an exhibition - memorial house. Renovating the architectural part into a 2-storey roof house (8 roofs) in the style of a traditional Central Vietnamese house. Renovating the main hall into a 3-room architecture. Building a new management and reception house. Building a new south gate and north gate. Upgrading and embellishing the river wharf relic introduction sign. Upgrading and embellishing the river wharf embankment and steps system. Upgrading the memorial stele. Building a new house for public activities.

In addition, construct items such as power supply system, outdoor lighting; outdoor water supply and drainage system; outdoor fire fighting water supply system; security monitoring system; garden system, fence, green landscape and other auxiliary items.

According to Phan Thanh Nhat, Deputy Head of the Management Board of the General Secretary Le Duan Memorial Site and Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, after 3 years of implementing the project, the work of welcoming visitors has been somewhat interrupted. Currently, the construction is being rushed to hand over on the occasion of the 118th anniversary of General Secretary Le Duan's birth, serving visitors to visit and tour the memorial site.
