In commemoration of the 66th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnamese Fisheries Industry (April 1, 1959 - April 1, 2025), on the afternoon of April 1, the Provincial Department of Fisheries organized a ceremony to release shrimp fry into the sea to regenerate aquatic resources. Attending the shrimp fry release ceremony were Mr. Huynh Huu Tri - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of provincial departments, branches, armed forces and Bac Lieu City People's Committee.
Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development released the fish into the sea to restore aquatic resources.
At Nha Mat estuary (Bac Lieu City), provincial leaders and departments, armed forces, and Bac Lieu City People's Committee released about 4.7 million postlarvae shrimp into the sea to regenerate aquatic resources in the wild. It is known that the source of postlarvae shrimp released into the wild this time was sponsored by the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Department of Fisheries, and more than 35 shrimp seed production facilities, companies, businesses, and aquaculture households.
Releasing shrimp larvae into the sea aims to regenerate aquatic resources, protect the marine environment and maintain the sustainability of the aquaculture industry.
