Tay Ninh economic growth in the first quarter of 2025 is estimated at 8.5%

The Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee have focused on leading and directing the implementation of Resolution No. 12-NQ/TU and the annual work program and plan, resolutions, directives and regulations of the Party, especially the four key political tasks set forth by the Central Committee in accordance with the working regulations of the Party Committee and the principles of organizing Party activities.

The province has basically completed Plan No. 01-PA/TU on the orientation of reorganizing the apparatus of the provincial political system according to the direction of the Central Government on summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW; after the reorganization, the whole province reduced 56 focal points (with 19 provincial focal points and 37 district focal points); Party organizations, agencies, and units at the provincial and district levels after the reorganization have operated stably and effectively.

The province has completed organizing model congresses at the grassroots level for 2 units, and has now directed to stop the congresses at the grassroots and district levels. The province continues to implement the procedural steps to build the draft documents of the 12th Provincial Party Congress; continue to collect opinions from former provincial leaders and veteran revolutionaries before deploying to collect opinions for the grassroots Party Congress.

In the first quarter, the whole province admitted 199 party members, of which the border commune party committees admitted 12 party members; the situation of party organizations and party members who violated discipline was reduced compared to the same period.

Regarding the implementation of socio-economic development tasks in the first quarter of 2025, the province has proactively adjusted the economic growth target for 2025 from 8% to 10%, and at the same time assigned tasks and implementation time to each implementing unit, striving to achieve the highest growth rate.

Reporting at the Provincial Party Executive Committee conference, Director of the Department of Finance Van Tien Dung said that in the first quarter, the province's gross domestic product (GRDP - at 2010 comparable prices) was estimated at 15,178 billion VND, an increase of 8.5% over the same period.

Of which, the agriculture - forestry - fishery sector increased by 4.5%; the industry - construction sector increased by 11.4%; the service sector increased by 7.3%, product tax - product subsidy increased by 5.1%.

Agricultural production is stable. Industrial production index is estimated to increase by 15.56%. Total retail sales of goods and revenue from service sectors is estimated to reach over 32,900 billion VND, reaching 24.5% of the plan, up 12.5%.

In the first quarter, the number of visitors to tourist areas and attractions reached about 2.46 million, up 1.2% over the same period; tourism revenue was estimated at VND 1,815 billion, up 41% over the same period.

Total state budget revenue is estimated to reach over VND4,151 billion, reaching 31.5%, of which domestic revenue and import-export revenue both increased over the same period. Domestic investment attraction increased by 8.4% over the same period, foreign investment attraction increased 5 times over the same period.

Director of the Department of Science and Technology Nguyen Tan Duc spoke about solutions to promote digital transformation and online public services.

By the end of March 2025, the whole province had 4 district-level units completing/meeting new rural construction standards, 68/71 communes meeting new rural standards (of which, 26 met advanced new rural standards, 4 communes met model standards).

Tay Ninh city was recognized by the Prime Minister as a type II urban area under Tay Ninh province; Trang Bang and Hoa Thanh towns were recognized as type III urban areas.

Implementing the Project to support the construction and repair of houses for people with revolutionary contributions and the Project to repair and build houses for poor and near-poor households according to the Central standards and poor households according to the provincial standards, as of March 31, the province has constructed 718/752 houses (of which, 358 houses have been completed and handed over).

Political security and social order and safety are ensured, especially traffic accidents in the first quarter decreased sharply in all three criteria.

Directing key tasks in the second quarter of 2025, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Manh Hung requested the whole province to continue to pay attention to implementing well the work of reorganizing the apparatus in the political system, especially the reorganization of commune-level administrative units. Accordingly, the province will review and adjust according to the general direction of the Central Government.

In the second quarter, sectors and localities continued to review all key and dynamic projects of the province; reviewed public investment projects to adjust them in line with the new orientation; the Provincial People's Committee worked with management boards, investors, and construction units to remove difficulties and speed up the construction progress of works and projects in the area.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Manh Hung also proposed to review the working program of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee; review the resolutions of the Provincial People's Council, including resolutions regulating specific policies of Tay Ninh province, resolutions specifying the State's legal policies to prepare one step ahead for the merger of administrative units in the coming time.

In the first quarter of 2025, the number of tourists visiting tourist areas and attractions in the province will reach about 2.46 million.

Regarding the task of digitizing documents, Provincial Party Secretary and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Manh Hung requested localities to review and inspect to report on difficulties, problems and related recommendations.

In the coming time, the Department of Home Affairs and the Department of Science and Technology will hold a thematic conference to resolve difficulties related to digitalization work according to the direction of the Central Government. Regarding the Provincial Party Congress Documents in preparation for the Congress for the 2025-2030 term, continue to supplement and complete.

During the time of performing the tasks from now until the Central Government issues an official policy on implementing the merger of administrative units at all levels, the Provincial Party Secretary and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council request each cadre, party member, agency, unit, and locality to continue to closely follow regular tasks, key and urgent tasks, maintain discipline and public order, and best complete the assigned tasks.
