(QBĐT) - On the afternoon of April 2, the Provincial People's Committee had a working session with the delegation of Heads of Vietnamese representative agencies abroad for the 2024-2027 term, led by Mr. Do Hung Viet, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs . Receiving and working with the delegation, on the side of Quang Binh province were Mr. Tran Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Hoang Xuan Tan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments and branches.

In his welcoming speech, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phong expressed his pleasure to welcome Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Do Hung Viet and Vietnamese Ambassadors and Consuls General in foreign countries to visit and work with Quang Binh. He also highly appreciated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' organization for Heads of Vietnamese representative agencies abroad to visit and work with the locality before departing for their missions in foreign countries, which demonstrates the great concern of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' leaders in supporting the locality to promote international cooperation and integration, attracting external resources for economic , cultural and social development.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Tan gave the delegation an overview of Quang Binh; potential and strengths for cooperation in the field of tourism, notably the World Natural Heritage Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park; potential for clean energy, renewable energy; land, forest and sea resources; construction materials production industry; agriculture ... Quang Binh province also hopes that the Ambassadors and Consuls General will support the promotion and connection of investment cooperation in areas where the province has many potentials and advantages, such as: Industry; agriculture, forestry and fisheries; tourism, services, attracting FDI projects...

Also at the meeting, the Head of the Vietnamese representative agency abroad and leaders of departments and branches of Quang Binh discussed and assessed the development potential of the province, as well as proposed solutions in the coming time to attract international tourists, including connecting, promoting tourism and investment; attracting and implementing ODA projects in Quang Binh province; calling for support and contributions from overseas Vietnamese; developing renewable energy, especially offshore wind power, developing clean agriculture, maritime transport services, and deep-water ports. Representatives of departments and branches also provided more information on mechanisms, preferential policies, and support to call for and attract investors to seek investment opportunities in Quang Binh.
