The Minister of Education and Training said that in the new period, Danang University is expected to be one of the major university training centers in the country.

On the morning of November 16, Danang University held a ceremony to celebrate its 30th anniversary of establishment and development. Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son acknowledged that over the past 30 years, Danang University has trained tens of thousands of highly qualified human resources in many fields for the country.

The human resources are strong in both quantity and quality with more than 2,500 staff. The proportion of lecturers with doctoral degrees is nearly 50%. Danang University has developed into a large training center with 18 fields, 136 university majors, 44 master's training majors and 29 doctoral training majors. The training scale is among the top in the country with more than 64,000 students, trainees...

Minister Nguyen Kim Son said that entering a new stage of development, Danang University is expected to be one of the country's major university training centers, playing an important role in training high-quality human resources, contributing to improving research capacity, technology transfer, and training human resources for the semiconductor industry and other key technology industries.

According to Minister Nguyen Kim Son, Danang University also needs to review, adjust and perfect its development strategy based on grasping the development trends of advanced universities in the world, while closely following the major directions of the Party, State, Government and the Ministry of Education and Training to have a development roadmap to become one of the key educational institutions of the country and the Central Highlands region on the basis of closely following the policies and directions of the Party and State.

Danang University needs to prioritize improving the quality of its existing teaching staff, attracting leading experts and scientists to have a strong scientific workforce capable of leading the scientific community. This must be considered one of the leading factors determining the quality of training and research; creating the best conditions for talented people and young lecturers to study, research and contribute.

The Minister emphasized and directed the focus and task of accelerating the progress of the Danang University construction project in Hoa Quy-Dien Ngoc because a modern, smart, regional-level university urban area will help expand space, making room for educational and training innovations and great visions and aspirations.
