On June 22, the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City coordinated with the Department of Tourism of Thua Thien-Hue and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam to organize a program to introduce tourism of these three provinces and cities in Taipei (Taiwan) with the theme Amazing Central Vietnam Heritage.

The three localities of Thua Thien-Hue, Da Nang and Quang Nam introduced to more than 120 representatives of airlines, travel companies... typical tourism products such as Heritage Road, focusing on promoting products suitable to the tastes of Taiwanese tourists such as beach resorts, cultural tourism, cuisine, shopping, spa, MICE tourism, golf, wedding tourism...

According to Mr. Vu Tien Dung, Head of the Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei, in the first 5 months of 2024, Vietnam welcomed nearly 530,000 visitors from Taiwan, an increase of more than 110% over the same period last year, of which about 45% of visitors came to Thua Thien-Hue, Quang Nam, Da Nang... The number of Vietnamese tourists choosing to travel to Taiwan is also increasing, it is forecasted that in 2024, the number of tourists traveling between the two sides this year will exceed the peak of the period before the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City, in the first 5 months of 2024, Da Nang City served nearly 3.78 million overnight guests, an increase of more than 22% over the same period in 2023, an increase of more than 37% over the same period in 2019 (before Covid-19).

Particularly for the Taiwanese market, the number of visitors to Da Nang City accounts for 10.8% of the international visitor market structure and ranks 2nd in the top 10 international visitor markets to Da Nang in the first 5 months of 2024.
